Any macronutrient can make you gain weight if you eat in excess. Whether it be fat, carbs (sugar in candy) or protein... so fat doesn't make you fat, carbs don't make you fat, what makes you gain weight is overeating. Fat has a bad name because it's calorie dense and if you're not counting calories could cause you to eat more than you're burning. Carbs (particularly sugar/refined grains) have a bad name because it causes insulin spikes and burns away quickly causing you to feel hungry again shortly after which can lead to overeating.
TBH, I'd rather have a fatty dessert over a sugary one. At least the fatty one is going to fill me up better and not cause a sugar crash. Too much sugar gives me a hangover the next day and leaves me feeling like crap. I don't experience the same thing when I eat a lot of fat.
My favourite dessert in the evening is plain Greek yogurt mixed with some pudding powder (which I wouldn't claim is the healthiest thing in the world, but I like it and I eat it) and unsweetened vanilla almond milk. Some berries and/or banana, natural crunchy peanut butter and some Kashi Go Lean, High Fiber, High Protein cereal sprinkled on top.
Frozen Greek yogurt with natural crunchy peanut butter.
Or a black bean brownie which is basically black beans, mashed banana, olive oil, unsweetened cocoa powder, vanilla extract, etc. Or a Snickerdoodle blondie made from chickpeas and natural peanut butter.
Anything involving pumpkin puree and peanut butter; French toast (yes, to me it's a dessert!), puddings, homemade muffins/bread.
A baked Reese's PB Cup oatmeal- it's like an oat cake. Unsweetened cocoa powder, mashed banana or unsweetened applesauce, oats, almond milk and natural peanut butter in the middle. I make a frosting with cocoa powder, real maple syrup, almond milk and natural peanut butter to drizzle on top.
In case you haven't noticed... peanut butter is my treat. Love that stuff. Definitely not low fat. ;)

"Toning" is marketing muscles to women who are afraid if they pick up a barbell, they'll leave the gym looking like She-Hulk. If you don't want to get bulky, lift heavy!
I can bench Nicole Richie, eat more than she does in a day before noon, I have a good 20 lbs on her but could still wear her pants.
