I lost nothing at all in a month - then the doc put me on water tablets last week and I lost 6 lb in 4 days with no effort! (not recommending water tabs unless you need them!)

Be sure you are tracking every bite of food and not getting more calories than you think you are. Maybe add a little more exercise, if you can. And don't just go by that number on the scale. Check your measurements to see if there is improvement there. Most of all, keep plugging away - one moment at a time, one small step at a time - the weight WILL come off if you are reasonably consistent. emoticon

KRISTARICHARD24,

Too many people believe that they have to lose weight every single week in order to be successful and if they don't lose, they wonder what's wrong. Absolutely nothing is wrong.

While a safe weekly weight loss would be 1-2 pounds per week, there will be weeks you don't lose. There will even be weeks you gain ! And that doesn't mean you're doing anything wrong. the weight doesn't magically drop off the minute you decide you want to lose. Weight loss is a slow steady process that takes time.

In order to be more helpful, you need to give us more information. How long have you been "stuck" ? If it's only been a week or two, you really do need to be more patient with your body. Now, if your weight hasn't budged after several weeks of consistent eating and exercise, you might be on a plateau. How to break a plateau ? That usually involves changing your routine. Try a different workout. Change your meals. The human body thrives on change and challenge. So, if you're stuck in a rut, it's time to change things up.

Mostly, you may just need to be patient. As I said, the weight doesn't magically drop off week after week. there will be weeks you don't lose and that's perfectly normal.

Be consistent. Get some form of exercise in every day, even if you don't want to, just do it! My doctor told me to write down a list of 10 things I want to accomplish in a day first thing in the morning- even little things- and do them even if I don't feel like it. Eventually, it gets easier!

First make sure you aren't making progress. Sometimes there are changes going on that aren't reflected in the scale. Muscle weighs more than fat so check other measurements to make sure.

If you've been losing weight and are now on a plateau, try switching things up a bit. Maybe adding a bit more activity or if you've been doing lots, try reducing it a little. (sometimes too much is not good either!). If you've been super strict on your calorie intake, try a reset where you eat a little more. (My eating plan requires one "reset" day a week.)

Whatever you do, don't give up! NEVER give up!! This is just a hiccup in the journey and not worthy of throwing you off the wagon!
