I think I get what the OP is trying to say -
instead of sitting at the PC, if I get up and do the laundry, I burn XX more calories
instead of playing a sedentary video game, I burn XX more calories doing a Wii Fit game
instead of sitting and watching my favorite TV show, I'll burn XX more calories by getting up and doing chores during the commercial breaks
yes, we all sit at times. But if we change 1/2 of that time for something where we are just moving, it makes a difference.
