Actually, I noticed I started doing this unintentionally when I started changing my diet. I decreased portions and increased my fruit and veggie intake (especially fruit). This by default decreased my intake of meat.
It has worked really well for me and I'm a type 2 diabetic with high blood pressure.

I have always eaten meat. Now that I'm getting older - I am finding that I no longer can stand the smell or the taste of Ground Beef. :( I find myself eating more Lean Chicken and the occasional Steak.

I went from eating around 10-12 oz of animal protein a day to less that 7 and rarely red meat. I use meat to flavor my dishes and almost always supplement the dish with beans. Veggies take up the most room on my plate now
