I didn't read the articles as have heard the debate over and over for years as to how many times people should weigh and personally just think it is what works for the individual. There is no, in my opinion despite studies and articles, etc., definitive answer as to what is best for any given individual.
I weigh-in officially once a week and measure once a week. This is almost a sacred thing to me as I love the data I collect from this exercise and the scale for me is just one piece of data in my weight maintenance/former weight loss journey. The tape measure also, but boy that is really valuable info to have logged.
Sometimes I change my weigh-in day to accommodate my schedule or for various reasons but mostly it is once a week.
I sometimes hop on for an unofficial look at the scale during the data week but I don't log that. Occasionally I've changed my modus operandi to make that unofficial look the official one for the week for various reasons of morale, etc., but for the most part, my rule is once a week.
I am not obsessed by the scale at all but it does make me happy to have a nice weigh-in as I've worked dang hard to get here, sometimes the scale tale is NOT so happy but that doesn't bother me, just gives me the data and push I need to work hard again if slacking.
