I also found that eliminating as much dairy as possible eased my bloating. I wasn't diagnosed lactose intolerant, but I went to a lactose-free creamer, stopped eating "casual cheese" (on sandwiches, for instance), stopped eating ice cream, and I use a lactase enzyme supplement if I decide cheese is going to be eaten anyway (I love pizza!).
The only dairy I regularly eat is a Greek yogurt in the mornings. That's supposed to help your digestive system stay balanced, and I never get bloating from it.
