Well I wouldn't try and get my money's worth for the trip by eating my way there and back. With all the food choices they have available, I'm sure I could make some good choices and regulate my portions. In other words,I wouldn''t make it a vacation of eating. I'd make it a busy, fun, touristy vacation; all I could see, do, and experience; walking everywhere, swimming, working out, experiencing as much as we could find to do.

Everything! But I would definitely bring bread and crackers (and ginger/gravol) in case I had seasickness. :(

That would be one of my bucket lists and I would go to Cancun or alaska

Have fun!!!!!! All I heard from my aunts when they went was to make sure that you have $$$ if you plan on drinking because its expensive, and lock up all the cell phones in the locker because its expensive like $2.00 a minute ...

As for the eating goes, If I ever went, its all buffeet so I would have to eat good as I do at home but maybe indulge in their seafood items a bit more

I couldn't go on a cruise without over-indulging in everything. Mainly, I love seafood and would eat lobster, shrimp, crab, scallops and fish 'til I popped. I'll definitely stay away from cruises the same way I stay away from all-you-can-eat buffets.

My last cruise was fruit for breakfast, salad for lunch and I mostly skipped desserts and my real weakness - bread and butter. I did great. Then I went to two all- inclusives in April and splurged and didn't do great at all. The scale said it all today. A cruise is actually easier because you have to pay for alcohol and those sugary drinks are a dieter's downfall.

You have to enjoy yourself though.........try to eat sensibly but don't beat yourself up for trying foods you can't get at home.

I was recently at an all inclusive and my plan for the buffet was to fill half of my plate with veggie dishes (preferable fresh or steamed). I do not dump food on top of other food and prefer if there is space between each different item so that I can taste it. No second helpings.

For lunch, I use a small plate not one of the big ones.

Other than that, I would suggest trying to move more to help work it off. A walk around the deck after dinner anyone?

Have a great time!
