baked potato any day. I haven't gotten into the brown rice yet and don't like the taste of whole wheat pasta, plus there's the whole diabetic thing for pasta too!

Baked potato, brown rice, and wild rice are my choices. I don't eat pasta because I am a diabetic and 1/3 cup equals one carb.

Sweet potato and then regular potato, both with skin on.

Other than that, I get my carbs from fruits and vegetables. I don't really eat grains or legumes, they just don't agree with me.

Occasionally rice

Very rarely potato, except perhaps sweet potato

Potato. Lots o' nutrients in there. Also fills you up. You can microwave it in about 5 minutes and have a self-contained meal.

Why do I have to choose? For me the potato would have to be a sweet potato, then it would depend on the entree as to which one of the three I would choose. If it were a regular potato, I probably would choose the brown rice unless it was an Italian type dinner.

P.S. Oops! I did answer this before. Basically the same answer, so I guess it confirms how I would make my choice.

Medium grain brown rice, I really like wild rice as well. I like quinoa a bit but it doesn't have the chewier texture of the others. If I can get them I like winter wheat berries. I'm not a fan of whole wheat pasta. Potatoes are very naughty for me.

I'm afraid I'm not personally qualified to confuse cats, but I can recommend an extremely good service.

In order: potato, WHITE rice, whole wheat pasta

White rice is part of my culture and that awful brown crappy rice is NOT a good substitute taste wise. I budget for the white rice & eat small portions.

Out of the three I like potatoes. A white potato because I don't like sweet potatoes

I don't like the flavor or consistency of brown rice or whole wheat pasta, to chewy and gooey. And I have tried. So I eat Jasmine rice and Ronzoni smart taste pasta.

Brown rice.

Pasta is nearly devoid of nutritional value, whether it is whole wheat or plain. They're both highly refined source of empty calories.

The best choice would be sweet potato.

When we do eat pasta it's usually whole wheat. Otherwise, we have sweet potatoes, Yukon Gold potato, or red potatoes a few times a month. We don't eat a lot of potatoes but like brown rice or quinoa. I'm trying new recipes for quinoa. We do eat tons of fruits and veggies throughout the week.

I like them all, and the one I cook or order will usually depend on how it complements the rest of the meal. For example, past week or so I've made: shrimp scampi with ww fettuccine one night, chicken with brown rice on another, and salmon with steamed baby potatoes. Try to find what's on sale (yesterday it was salmon) and then figure out the rest.

sweet potatoes ! Love their nutrient dense starchy goodness. Not only are they high in fiber, they are loaded with vitamin C, beta carotine, magnesium, potassium and even 2.59g of protein.

Lately, I've been trying a variety of purple potato. Those aren't bad. If you get a chance, try a Japanese yam. Interesting flavor. very sweet tasting. yum...

Potatoes, especially sweet potatoes due to the amazing number of vitamins/minerals in them.

I eat all of them, including baked sweet potato. I prefer potatoes baked because they have fewest calories, but I like them any way. I also love brown rice and whole wheat pasta.

I really enjoy a good potato but I know that rice and pasta (brown) are good for us. I just don't like the consistency of the grain.

Lay aside life-harming heaviness and entertain a cheerful disposition.

All of the above and sweet potato
I usually include one of those each day - portioned course, or else I would overindulge without even a second thought!

I eat rice regularly because I like it. Potatoes somewhat regularly, too. I also eat pasta but not too often just because it's one of those things I tend to over indulge on.

Gosh, I don't really eat any of those, except the occassional small serving of potato!! (I'm not much of a potato fan, but I do love sweet potatoes). I like white rice and white pasta!

I'm more likely to do the "whole grain" thing when it comes to bread. I will add fiber and other nutrients to my "starch" rice and pasta dishes by adding veg, beans or legumes.

Sweet potato :) Also I count corn as a starch carb.... corn on the cob in the summer is my favorite.

But, I like whole wheat pasta best. I also like brown rice, it just takes a long time to make and I sometimes don't have the time to wait for it.

I can't think of the last potato I ate other than the occasional sweet potato fry I snag from the BF's plate. Whole grain pasta all the way and I mostly substitute quinoa for my rice needs. I love quinoa because its a complete protein along with a carbohydrate.

I eat more brown rice than pasta or potatoes, mostly because it's something I can cook at work in the microwave. Add some steamed veggies or a can of black beans...LUNCH! I also use bulghur instead of brown rice.

I do like whole wheat pasta. Today's lunch is leftover angel hair pasta with marinara, spinach, and diced zucchini

as far as potatoes - mostly I eat sweet potatoes. When it's not sweet potatoes, it's red skin (they allegedly have a lower glycemic index number)
