Definitely the space of time between mid- and late-night is the best part of my day -- about from 10 p.m. to 1 a.m. My household is made up of two college students and somebody who works the night shift, so any other time of day has lots of comings and goings. That interval of three hours is when things are usually calm, so that's when I take care of relaxation (and exercise, if I didn't get a chance during the day).

I have many favorite times of day:
My first cup of coffee after I come home from swimming
My morning break when I eat my snack and have a cup of tea
Lunch time
Going home and spend time in the garden
Supper time
Going to my room time about an hour before I go to bed
going to bed
PS. it looks like I do nothing but eat. I do work full time in between. emoticon

The 15 minutes I give myself between my after work workout and dinner time... sitting on my back porch with my feet up while the sun is at it's lowest point. Once it dips, it's back on in full throttle. Walking before the sun to work a 12 hour shift, racing home at a snails pace just to shove some almonds down the hatch and start a two hour minimum workout, I realized I owe myself some decompression time before starting the second part of the day... dinner, clean up, showers, family time, bed times.

Bed time may be a close second; however, in my decompression time after and exhausting workout, it's like I have no real thoughts. I am content to just stare out into nothing (or through everything). While bedtime is fulls of thoughts of the day passed and worries of the day to come. And usually breakfast. HA
