Thanks so much for the information! I'll be sure to get one's with handles. I think I'll do much better exercising, with some kind of apparatus, because if I do one's on my own, like sit-ups, push-ups, I will cheat, and actually....won't do them. Know what I mean? I'm glad you mentioned the dumbbells, because that's another thing I want to get. Hope your work-outs are working for you!!

I got mine at Walmart-- past the toys and bikes, but before the camo and hunting & camping gear, they have a small section of "fitness" stuff. Dumbbells, videos, resistance bands, etc. I agree with, get the kind with handles. There are a bunch of resistance band videos here on Spark if you buy a band that doesn't come with a video.

If you know what you're looking for, try Amazon or E-bay.

You can find resistance bands or tubing at any good sports store. However, if you're looking to save some money, you can find them for cheap at Walmart, Target, Sears and even TJ Maxx or Marshalls.

Personally, I find the bands with the handles the best to use. I don't the ones that are just pieces of plastic. Those do break very easily. And be warned, resistance break over time too.

I bought a set of the surgical tubing type at Walmart many years ago.

You can also find just about anything on Amazon
