My first success, was setting out to lose weight and actually doing it.
To see more than a 1 lbs. drop in a week was huge. When I signed up for SP, I had been riding an excercise bike for several weeks and had progressed to where I was actually working out and burning some decent calories.

I mixed in SP calorie recommendations and it wasn't uncommon to see 2, sometimes even 3 lbs. dropped in a week. That's pretty easy to pull off at the kind of poundage I was starting at.

But, it wasn't the amount. It's just that it was almost a predictable amount based on how well I followed my nutrition and my workout plans.

I'm like "So, if I eat better and eat less calories (I never wanted it to be about just less calories, it had to be 'better' nutritionally) and mix in regular excercise...I lose weight?" Gee. I can roll with that.

Of course I KNEW that's how it worked. But until I did it, I'm not sure I was invested in the concept. It's not that I didn't believe in the idea. I think I didn't believe in ME! And when I saw it happen, that was huge. I became a believer.....in me.

Losing weight and keeping it off. My next success will be reaching my goal weight.

I second DIDS70 even when I was really tiny my thighs still rubbed together. Some people are genetically predisposed to such things. I hope that yours don't but don't be upset if they do.

will be walking up the stairs without huffing and puffing. Unfortunately my body isn't designed where even at goal weight, my thighs won't rub. Even as a young child at the perfect weight, my thighs rubbed together. Don't be bummed if it doesn't happen.

:)

My first success was fitting into a pair of pants that hadn't fit me in four years! :)

I have two things I'm looking forward to - walking with my legs not rubbing together and doing jumping cardio without feeling like I'm going to knock myself out with my large chest.

Lay aside life-harming heaviness and entertain a cheerful disposition.
