I have too much of it. It is heavy in my purse. Time to use it.

save that change, but, ok folks. dont hoard your spare change at home. put it in the bank. it's gonna collect interest, and every little bit helps. i use mine for the Step Out Walk for Diabetes. i opened an account specifically for it and deposit into it at least twice a month. it adds up quickly. so, open an account for whatever you want. a new bike, a new wardrobe, a weekend away. whatever, just deposit it!!!

have a great day everyone.

Just like Healthy-Spark I have a "Vacation Fund" jar and put my change into it every night. I sometimes have to dive into it for a few quarters every now and then. I've decided to use it for a new jogging outfit that I've wanted for quite some time and will purchase it when I'm almost to my goal. I don't want to get it now because it would be too big when I reach my goal and it would be flattering to my NEW SHAPE emoticon

I take out money that's in my pockets at the end of the day and put it all into a jar. Sometimes I have to raid the jar (like this past weekend for $1s to take to the farmer's market!), but generally it just sits there until I need the money for something. If the jar gets full I'll roll it and take it to the bank. In theory it's my savings for a vacation.

I use my change and do not save a whole lot if it. I do save some and I want to repeat what my mom did to her grand kids, and that is randomly give her change collection to them. I remember my girls getting so excited as they counted change. The change would be anywhere from a dollar something to about 8 dollars since my mom has several grand kids that she did this for, it never got much higher, but that did not matter the kids loved it. and ot them that was a lot. I have only one grandchild, so when he gets about 4 I will do the same thing for him, who knows by then there might be another little one around.

We have a jar in the bedroom and my husband and I dump all our change in there. I think the last time it was full he took it to one of those machines and got a gift card for Kroger. I also keep every $5 bill I get in change. That's my money to spend on whatever I want. I think my next purchase will be the Fitbit Flex (if they ever release it. It's well into spring 2013 folks!)

we put it into containers & cash it in once a year, usually goes to one of our favorite charities.

Your encouragement is greatly appreciated!

DH always has pockets full of change, which he empties to various containers at the end of the day.

we have a 5 gallon water cooler bottle (left behind after a convention) that we dump the change in. When the price of gas soared and our employers went on wage increase freeze (and DH had some short forced furloughs), both of us had to use that change stash a time or two.

I also have a metal coffee can about 1/2 full of change. Great training tool for the pups - when they are doing something they shouldn't, just rattle the can once. The noise changes their focus and we can give them something different to play with or chew on.

Not only do I save my spare change, I also save my dollar bills. When I buy something the smallest bill I spend is a $5, all the ones go into my treasury box. I get wrappers from the bank, wrap them up in $50 increments and when I get $500 I take them to the bank and trade them in for $100 bills. I save it until I lose a pant size then I splurge on some new clothes.

Periodically, I empty out my change pocket into a jar named 'Vacation Fund' -- which, if that was my only source of vacation money -- it might be a long while until I went anywhere. Usually, I just count it up once a year and bring it to the bank... but I got to thinking that maybe I should use it for Spark-related goals, etc.

Do you use your spare change for anything fitness/health related?
