I think you did right so good for you!
I know there are many times that I feel so tired I don't want to work out but then I start rationalizing. If I go home without working out, I'll probably just have dinner, read and go to bed so I may as well use some of that time to work out. It's always hard getting started but you never regret a workout, especially once you are done with that workout!
You NEVER regret a workout!
