Hey I'm another Southern Ontario gal and also cannot wait for spring! Although I have to say I haven't found this winter as bad as some, I mean winter didnt really even start until just before christmas. I do walk outside every morning at 6:30 a.m. with my dog, it gets me wide awake before the kids get up, I just have to bundle up to do it!
Hang in there friends! It will be warm soon enough (I LOVE LOVE LOVE the heat of summer, hiking on the Bruce trail, picnics!)

I am sick of the gloomy, cold, icy mess we all are sharing. I want the sun up by 5 a.m. and I want to smell the great outdoors and see the green leaves on the trees, and just the smell of cut grass.

I know exactly what you mean. Everyone keeps telling me that January and February just flew by. To me they seem like they each lasted six months. They were just so frigid. We didn't get much snow, but that doesn't upset me in the least. If I never saw snow again it would be too soon. Hate Winter. Love Summer I hope that things get better for you and you start seeing signs of spring up in Canada.

I'm with you! We got iced in this morning, and I'm ready for spring.

I so agree! My grocery store has so little to offer to give me satisfying meals. I'm tired of canned and frozen stuff - can't wait until strawberries and watermelon and catalope are available again!

Guess I'm an odd man out because I'm the opposite - I love winter and hate summer. I used to love summer, but lately we don't have pleasant summers anymore. It's always so blasted hot and humid that you don't want to do anything but stay locked in the a/c all day.
Summer just isn't enjoyable to me anymore.

Southern Ontario, here also. ;) Ugh! I totally get you. I feel the exact same way. We were spoiled last winter, hardly any snow and in the 80's by March. This one is just dragging on. It is going out like a lion and not even a speck of light on the horizon as far as risings temps go. I want to start gardening, going for walks to run errands, going for nature hikes, flowers blooming, everything turning from dingy brown to green, thunderstorms, robins returning, Easter (making easter treats with the kids and painting eggs and spending time with my family and inlaws who have been in Mexico all winter, lucky ducks), taking the kids outside to play in the backyard while sipping a smoothie or tea, closeting winter coats/snowpants/hats/mitts, barefeet, spring/summer clothes shopping!!! It's my first spring/summer wardrobe that I'll shop for in 5 years that doesn't feel depressing and an evil necessity. I'll be able to finally choose clothes based on whether or not I like them, not just because they don't fit absolutely horrible on me. No more thunder thighs, flabby arms, pregnant belly. Shopping for my spring/summer wardrobe this year has been my long awaited reward at the end of my weight loss journey. This spring brings new horizons for me!

I hate winter myself! I LOVE my treadmill though! Gives me a chance to workout everyday--regardless of weather. I NEVER walk outside until the roads are completely dry & ice-free. I can't risk a slip or fall now that I am missing a disk in my lower spine!

I am an outdoors type of person. There has not been one winter day I have not gone out side for a walk-run with the dog. There were many cold days but but being outside I feel a sense of being refreshed. I have also taken a lot of pictures.. It was spectacular to watch a snow squall go by. I posted a few pics on my page
