I do go with local guy but last few years he has been adding stuff I didn't tell him to and every year it goes up and up even if I downgrade things. I am talking about homeowners and car.

I decided to get quotes from Century 21 and Costco. Heard they both are good with low prices.

I live in small rural area and it is easy to be taken advantage of when you are retired!

Agreed, JennieB52. The local broker is a good start to finding your needs for insurance. Mine bundles home, auto, boat and I'm happy with his efforts. Just make sure your broker knows that you know it's illegal to require insurance on an item in order to get insurance on the original item (home owners insurance previously written to write an auto policy, for example)

Determining rates depends on many factors... Most importantly your claims history and your risk exposure (where you live, etc). They really can't give you an accurate quote without all the needed info. If you are shopping around, go to a local insurance broker who can give you a variety of coverage options.

I tried to go online to get quote but they all force phone numbers and personal info. Who has low rates here and with who?

I just don't trust any companies anymore!
