I have the BodyMedia monitor and it's a great investment for me. The one thing I was more interested in and that to keep track of how many how of sleep I wasn't getting. Boy! it was a real eye opener for me. I also, like that fact that it lets you know when your vigorous exercise minutes along with regular exercise minutes. I call it my personal trainer and I'm always looking to beat my personal best several times a week. I'm very pleased and I don't mind paying the monthly fee.

Target carries FitBit One, that's where I bought mine

I had both for a week and did a comparison. Looking forward to my refund from the Bodymedia and the subscription. Fitbit One works better for my life.

I use a Fitbit One and I really like it. It's user friendly and I love how it syncs with SparkPeople. I believe you can buy them at Best Buy or online directly from fitbit's site. Enjoy! Kelly

WOW! I didn't know we can get it from Costco! That's wonderful to know, thanks! Guess that will be my plan B if I don't win one. I really hope I do, I've been eyeing this for quite some time and my tax refund is going to be smaller than anticipated!

Please keep in mind when you purchase the bodymedia armband you have to buy a subscription for their service in order to see all of the information. The service will set you back another $59.00/yr for one year, $89.00/2 yr or 6.95/month. Some places will offer you a free 3 month trial subscription but then you will have to pay for the rest of the year. That is why I suggest purchasing it from Costco. They give you the Fit link, a year subscription, ship it for free and a no hassle return policy. I think they may still even include a coupon for 2 free "skins" which are 5.95/ea to decorate the face of it. I think when it comes down to it, the yearly subscription fee is why many people opt to go with the fit bit.

I'm looking into buying it too. It seems better than the fitbit because it seems like it will track all of your exercise, not just walking and steps like fitbit. I read on the Amazon customer reviews that the BodyMedia will track aerobics and things like running up stairs instead of walking. It also says that the link will upload your info to a smartphone without a usb, with the core you need the usb. On Amazon it is $119 for the link and $99 for the core.

You can purchase the bodymedia Fit Link from Costco online. It is 149.99 and includes a one year subscription to Bodymedia's activity manager service(normally 59.99/yr) which is a huge plus. The armband is elastic and is a medium size. The great thing with purchasing it from Costco is that they have a liberal return policy. If you do not like it, you can take it back to one of their stores. What's in the Box BodyMedia LINK Armband, medium size strap, USB cable, manual and quick start guide. The BodyMedia LINK Armband is backed by a manufacturer's one-year warranty.
