The day my son graduated college (a life moment to be proud of)

Losing 47 lbs in less than a year (my health proud moment)

If you focus on results, you will never change. If you focus on change, you will get results.

I've reversed a lifetime of unhealthy habits and my children are following in my lead. I quit smoking, exercise regularly, and eat healthy. These changes have been hard but since we started 2 years ago it's gotten easier and easier.

I may not be there yet but I'm closer than I was yesterday.

I got tired of starting over and working back to where I was, so I have stopped giving up!

Congratulation to you and DH. I have to say I am proud of finally getting it through my head that I don't need a diet but a more healthy lifestyle.

When I think of all of the healthy changes that I've made to my lifestyle since joining SP, I am especially proud of the things that have really stuck, but I think my proudest moment of my journey to better health has to be the legacy that I'm leaving behind and the contageous nature of my lifestyle. Since starting to make better choices in what I eat and including being physically active in my routines, DH has joined me and not only improved his own health and appearance, but he has joined me in the new lifestyle that we are living together. We think about everything that we consume and its affect on our short and long term health and we are each others' cheerleaders and coaches to encourage each other to set and meet our fitness goals.

Most importantly, together, we have created a fun atmosphere of healthy living in our home and I feel that I am finally the role model that my kids really deserve. Just last night, my daughter said that she thinks that she will have her mom and dad around for a long time because we take such good care of ourselves. I'm glad that she is observing it all and I know that at home she has always been a healthy eater and is physically active. I'm hoping that by modelling this behaviour, she will continue to make healthy choices for herself and take much better care of herself in young adulthood than I ever did.

Though we cannot control the winds, we can adjust the sails.

Vic
