YES. It might have some juice in it but let's read the label, and look at the ingredients. Highly refined sugar, high fructose corn syrup, artificial flavors (propylene glycol in some-which is the base ingredient in anti-freeze), and artificial colors, which can cause or exacerbate behavioral issues in children. It is very little bit real food and very much a food product. The refined sugars foster cravings for other not-so-good-for-us foods.
You want fruit snacks, get dried fruit or fresh fruit. It is so much better for you.
This is not to sound hypocritical or anything. I used to buy that crap for my kids, thinking it was not a bad choice, but...I think that may be one of the reasons I have had a hard time getting her to eat real fruit. She's slowly but surely coming to terms with Mommy's resistance to getting processed foods. She actually ate a small Granny Smith apple yesterday. She hadn't eaten apples without peanut butter for a couple years.
