counting calories, losing weight and counting exercise minutes are completely useless to me.
Counting calories-- why? I don't eat processed food. 90% of my food is vegan raw and most times it is closer to 100%. For the most part I don't get the "calorie" amount that SP or anyone else says I need. I get something oh so much better. I eat alkaline, I eat nutritionally, i eat for the enzymes, vitamins and minerals. My food is awesome and amazing. I don't cook the heck out of it. I don't need meat or dairy for protein, Veggies and living foods give me ALL I need.
Counting exercise minutes-- again its not the length of time that I exercise. it all has to do with the intensity. I can get 4 minutes or so of cardio doing my tabata, HIIT or surge training. I don't need to get on a treadmill. The way i exercise I don't create cortisol. I create health.
Losing weight-- it just comes. With my lifestyle, i lose weight. I lose inches. I gain sleep. I get adjusted. I am keeping my hormones in check. Losing weight may be partially calories in calories out, but for long sustained weightloss, your hormones need balance. You need your leptin, your glututhione. Can't get those through food. Can't get those in a pill. Your body already has them. Eat healthy, exercise correctly and your body will thank you.
I am not trying to achieve the perfect body. I don't want to be model thin. I want 100% function of body, mind, and spirit with no evidence of disease.
To tell you the truth-- I haven't been sick in the last two years. Not a cold, flu, or virus of any kind. I may not be at goal weight, but i am healthier than people who are.
So no. It is not about just losing weight. A healthy journey starts inside you. Take care of the inside and your body will be your best friend.
