I had two today: first, the scale FINALLY budged, which was sooooo relieving. Then later today, I was disappointed when I realized that the meat I planned to use for dinner hadn't thawed enough, so my boyfriend offered to take me to my favorite fast food place for dinner—and I told him no!!! Yay me!

going to get new jeans and learning I had drop from a 22 to a loose 20 or snug 18 pant's size emoticon
I started my weight loss journey Feb. 3, 2012 in an effort to lower my blood sugar. To date I have lost 38.2 lbs. I hope to have my next emoticon on my one year anniversary and the snug 18 pants size to be 18 loose and 16 snug. Not much time left so I may have to settle for 18 loose and keep working on the 16 snug. I will keep pushing emoticon

When I went to the doctor earlier this month to find that, in spite of the holidays and my recent drinking binge, I'd actually lost about 7 pounds in the past month.

Good thread. It's so easy to get wrapped up in the things I don't like about my journey; thanks for reminding me of the things I DO.

I did a 3 day cleanse recommended by Dr. Oz a week after I started getting serious about being healthy and losing weight, I had lost 4 pounds already and weighed in after the cleanse.... I had lost another 5!!!! WHOO HOO!!!! emoticon

My biggest woohoo moment is when I take my blood pressure every day. My typical reading now is 116/70. When I started at the end of July it was typically 160/100. Of my issues, my doctor said this was the one that would hurt me most.

Finally tracking the walking i do as my commute to work all week. I walk 3 km at least every day. so thats 15 km so like 9 miles!!! sucks not having a car but i never realized how much of a workout im getting. I make sure to really move it when im walking and track it with trackmy run app on my iphone. Also i have been eating less carbs and having healthy but delicious food all week. i cooked thai coconut soup by chef meg and it was amazing.

My woohoo moment is the fact that I was able to complete the 6 mile winter hike at Hiking hills, I would have never been able to do this before, the best part of it all was waking up the next day and not being extremely sore I must be doing something right.

One fairly recent woohoo was pulling out my winter clothes -- most of which are quite tailored -- and finding that the size 4's I put away last spring still fit just fine!

Starting Weight: 260 lbs. (November 2010)
Quasi-Maintenance: 165 lbs. (June 2011)
Goal Weight: 150 lbs. (reached December 8, 2011)

Size 22W to Size 4

Currently maintaining within 5 lbs. (+ or -) of goal. I weigh daily, but also use a tape measure and the fit of my clothes to guage how well I'm doing.

I have had sooo many woo hoo moments lately.

1. The first 9 lbs that I lost.
2. I dropped 2 pants sizes.
3. I have consistently kept a food journal for 4 months.
4. I have not had any caffeine in 5 months.
5. I joined a gym (and have gone 5 days a week for over 3 weeks)
6. I learned that I love to workout.

Last night, when I threw away the half gallon ice cream and realized, I never took one bite, it was a healthier version of ice cream, still can eat it, but, ice cream is my downfall, and I don't stick to 1/2 cup. So, I used plain greek yogurt, and added a little s.f. jam, and a dollop of non fat whip spray. emoticon emoticon

My woohoo moment today was when, in lieu of going to Cheesecake Factory for a huge dinner, I stayed home and recreated my favorite gourmet grilled cheese sandwich from a nearby restaurant in a much healthier (and tastier!) way: 350 calories instead of almost 2,000 in the original!

I am a teacher and one of my parents from last year took the time to track me down at dismissal to ask if I had lost weight. It was certainly a woo hoo to be able to tell her yes and to know that someone noticed!

Repeatedly set 2 lb a week weight loss goal, and never ONCE made it; I was failing over and over. Then I actually looked at my weight graph and saw that for the past 10 months there has been an almost perfectly straight weight loss line of 3/4 of a pound a week. Every week. Now I see that I'm not a losing the race as a hare... I'm winning as a tortoise.

A friend has really been down on herself because of her weight...last night I invited her to go for a run and strength class this morning in our neighborhood...she accepted! She did great...ran more than 2 miles at a great pace for someone who hasn't run in forever (she used to be a serious runner)...I left her at the strength class because I had to get to work...she says she's exhausted and will probably be quite sore but she has started her journey! emoticon

Realizing that I LOVE tracking my food! Doesn't matter if I track cheats or not. It just helps me regulate myself which I need to do. And I have learned that the more healthy foods I eat, the more variety I can have in a day. It's a win-win! Yippee kai yay!

CMNOVAK - I can relate! My son sat on my lap and rested his head on my shoulder. Then he sat up straight and complained about the bone there -- he had never noticed it before because it was hidden.

I have been avoiding wearing jeans that button and zip because they cut into my tender flesh (too tight, not comfortable). So normally I wear elastic band "jeans" but today I pulled out a pair of old size 22 thinking there is no way they are going to even zip - they did! And I have been sitting in them now for a half hour and they aren't cutting into me! Happy DAnce!

I have had WOO HOO moments in the past: fitting in my dance pants ,losing all the weight and KEEPING IT OFF for quite a long time{especially during the Thanksgiving ~Christmas ~NewYear's~ when I had just lost it a few months before}, getting my CHOLESTROL down to normal,seeing my trainer BRAG about me in my yoga class!!!! That was three yrs. ago and since I gained a little back {due to false pregnancy}, I plan to get it all off in the future! Using SP is how I LOST the wt. and seeing SP for the FIRST TIME was probably my BIGGEST WOO HOO moment b/c that's when I REALIZED I CAN DO IT {despite my family's history of obesity}!!!!!! emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon
