My daughter never used to give a kiss OR hug AT ALL from the time she was about 11 years old. Never figured out why! My son, however, even as a 12-13yr old would often sit on my lap. I was so used to it, I often didn't notice until my leg went to sleep - LOL! As far as him giving me a kiss good night, he ALWAYS did, and not only that, he would ALWAYS give me a hug and a kiss in the street in town if/when I saw him. He is now 31 and STILL always gives me a kiss and a hug, regardless of where we are.

I have one teen, 16 year old boy, and yes he give his Dad and I a kiss every night before bed. My 11 year daughter does the same.

My dd probably hasn't kissed me since she was 3 years old. She has been raised with love but has never been much into giving or receiving kisses or hugs to express her feelings and I respect that. At 12 years old she does have a goodnight ritual with me but it doesn't involve a kiss goodnight.

My son is 16 yrs old and every night before he goes to bed he comes up to me and gives me a kiss on the cheek, I think it's sweet that he still does that seeing he's a teen, but he was raised with a lot of love and I've always given him a kiss from the day he was born.
I just think it's sweet that he comes to me before bed and does it, he's a great kid!
