Ok, I have only lost 3 pounds so far, so no change yet - but I have to thank ALL OF YOU because this is probably the most motivational topic I have read. Yes, there are many great things on SparkPeople - but this topic which covers one specific thing you noticed just for some reason got me all inspired! Maybe because these things seem so attainable. Thank you!!!

Good job
Send them off to Goodwill, I went thru the same thing. Felt a lot better after they were gone. Just a constant reminder having them around. So I got rid of them.

Yesterday morning I put on a pair of slacks that I'd not worn since last winter. They were way too big in the waist! Today, another pair was too big and I wore them with a belt to hold them up and I was able to cinch the belt much tighter than normally!

All of my jeans are too big. And it's too soon to buy new ones....so living in a smaller size than before stretch pants. So now the too big jeans are in a pile in my closet. I keep thinking of the Modern Family episode where Mitchel tries to hold on to Cam's "fat jeans" because Cam always ends up re-buying them after he's done with his diet and it's quite the expense. I swear, that won't be me gaining it back, but I still haven't been able to take my jeans to Goodwill....

People who hadn't seen me in a while said my face looked great, thinner. I then began to compare old pictures at my heaviest to where I was, at about 30 some pounds lost, and noticed my awful "chubby cheeks" and "double chin" were GONE! Also, I now had actual curvature to my back, from my shoulders to hips. That was awesome to see in the mirror, because it showed I'd lost a lot of weight in that abdomen area, where having excess fat is the most dangerous for your health.

My boobs went from HUGE (DD) to barely there (C) - at least for me. Before I gained all of this weight, I was 110 lbs with a 34C bra size, which sexied up my body a LOT, and after gaining weight, I ballooned to 201 lbs, and a 42DD is just not sexy on me at ALL - So I was glad to lose the boobs (although it would've been much nicer to lose my waist instead). ....LOL
SW (after pregnancy): 5/3/12: 201.2 lbs 1st GW (halfway point): 160.6lbs Happy GW: 135 lbs ULTIMATE GW: 120 lbs 81.2 pounds to lose!

It's not the first thing I noticed, but it's one of the better things... I don't isolate any more. I accept more invitations from people, and go more places. I don't feel self conscious in public any more. Now I strut! LOL : )

The first thing I noticed was the "waistline indentation" that my pants would leave on my abdomen wasn't as deep or painful, and it would go away within a few minutes instead of staying sore and red for an hour or so after I changed into the elastic-waistline sweats. I was sooo excited the first time I got home from work and there wasn't an indentation on my belly!!

The first thing I noticed was being able to breathe more freely. It wasn't like I was gasping every time I walked more than 50 paces. Then 2 months into my life here, I noticed my fat roll shrinking! So I started measuring it every 2 weeks. I have lost 5 inches in 3 months! And if I measured today it would probably be more inches as I am having no problem wearing my XL t-shirts from my bar-hopping days (they ended 7 years ago).

My weight will fluctuate sometimes, but I definitely notice a change in my body. I bought a custom leather belt three weeks ago that was sized perfectly for me and then two holes were added on either side of my size. Well, I've lost two holes already so I'll have to go have more holes punched soon!

BADMITTENSKITTY - I have to agree with you that the collarbone is as sexy as hell - mine showed up about a month ago and it's just awesome! You keep at it, get motivated and get that collarbone back! You can do it!

The first thing I noticed was my collar bone was more noticeable and sexy as hell. THen I noticed my face was slimmer it was easier to sand up and get out of cars ect, I could fit in a size 16 an it was lose .. but the collar bone was the first think I noticed... Sadly I got busy with work and life and I cant really see it anymore again... :/ but atleast I know that when I see it again it will make me feel amazing and keep me motivated.
Motivation doesn't last but neither does bathing, that's why it is recommended daily. ~Maye~ Xbox- killer kittie13

Feeling good about going down a size in clothing. I kept a pair of old jeans, thinking I might get back into them, I'm back in them.

I felt more confident and wanted to exercise more because I started to love getting sweaty! I used to be embarrassed, but now it feels like accomplishment!

Ease of movement. I was very heavy and walking was a misery. Now, I can exercise, and walk with no discomfort. Besides that, I noticed how much better I felt eating healthier food, and exercising. The energy increase was a plus, and people treat me better now that I have a more normal weight. Ilene

I've lost 28lbs to date. The 1st thing I noticed was my clothes didn't fit. The 2nd thing I noticed was that my husband was noticing and was being more affectionate... and the 3rd thing I noticed was I had increased energy, useful when dodging an overly affectionate husband.

I've lost 60lbs in total, and after the first 20 or so, I noticed that I didn't sweat as quickly or as much in my everyday life as I used to. Now that the winter is approaching I'm cold all the time, I guess losing that much inslulation will take a bit of adjustment for me. It's all good though, I'm completely OK with wearing layers! :)

I lost a few lbs during hurricane Sandy. but since, i have been adding miles to my run, little at a time and my mom commented on Thanksgiving day that i looked slimmer. for me, i noticed it in the way my jeans fit.

I loved seeing my jawline thin out! And now I like wearing tanktops to work out in, because I finally like what I see in the mirror--toned arms! I am 20 pounds away from my original goal, but if my body keeps moving around without much change on the scale, I will be fine not getting there. It's not what the scale says, it's what you say when you see yourself step out of the shower.
Remember one thing you did today that was good. Add to the list tomorrow.

The first thing I noticed was my rings were looser. I know I did not loose weight in my fingers, but that was the first place I noticed things not fitting as well. The next big thing was feeling lighter on my feet when I was walking the halls at the healthcare center were I work.
