I eat real ice cream. I get the kind that is natural with few ingredients.

Last time I had an ice cream cone from "31 Flavors" (an ice cream store) I threw it out half way down. It tasted so chemical and artificial to me. My taste buds really changed eating whole foods and I feel so much better for it! I now get that creamy fix by mixing a frozen banana with half cup yogurt, little 2% milk and one tab red raspberry preserves. It is soooooo Yummmmy!
I use a single server blender so I don't have to transfer it in a cup.

I get my ice cream fix in 2 ways:

1. a new self serve yogurt ice ceam store just opened and is just great although a bit pricey because it is sold by weight and one can "get away" with the selections/toppings/etc.. It has lots of flavours to choose from ( and you can sample before selecting) and it is fat free and sugar free.

2. I also buy ice cream cake which has limited flavours ....but it's ice cream...so I buy one but split it up into 2 or 3 servings.

I don't need an ice-cream fix. I haven't had any in...4 years?

I do like smoothies made with frozen berries though. I also make my own popsicles. My favorites are 2T Greek yogurt, 1T milk and 1T homemade fruit jam.

Portion controlled bars, sandwiches, etc. that are less than 150 calories per serving. I find there are lots of products in the neighborhood of 100 calories per bar.

I don't often have ice cream - but my raspberries are ripe now and raspberries with fromage frais isn't the same. So I bought a tub of vanilla icecream (Lidl's best - yummy) and I allow for it in my tracking.

I also like frozen fruit (grapes, berries, melon...), but have to be careful even there because they're full of sugar. Not so much as ice cream, tho!

I have some popsicles that are insanely low in carbs (calories?) too. Probably nothing but water, food coloring, and a bit of flavoring... but they satisfy the cold-and-sweet cravings occasionally.

I have popsicle molds where I pour in coffee & soy milk or other teas or juices and fruit and freeze them! I pretty much eat a cup of coffee ice cream 3 times a week and deal with the hit in calories and adjust meals to compensate. I don't eat sweets otherwise since most everything out there is too sweet for me anyhow~

I peel a bunch of bananas and put them in the freezer and leave them there for at least 24h. Before I go on my run I take them out and when I am done showering, I blend them up. Yummy banana soft serve :D

Went to a homemade ice cream shop and had 1/2 small scoop of blueberry swirl and 1/2 scoop of blackberry ice cream in a cup Tuesday. Gave me enough of a taste and I was satisfied.

Popsicles, Italian Ice, all those kinds of things are usually 60 - 100 calories. Creamsicles are good too, and only 100 calories each. We buy a ton of this stuff, especially the sugar free ones (although I don't bother with WW or anything like that) because I don't keep cookies and chips in the house as kid snacks. We also have the forms to make your own popsicles which we fill with juice, etc.

Actually love Froz Fruit bars mostly Strawberry, but also coconut - at 70 to 120 calories respectively each, they are calorie friendly. However, I find it hard to turn down a piece of Carvel ice cream cake at occasions - Yummy! Recently got a Baskin Robbins ice cream cake for my husband's birthday and it was very pricey and not good at all!

I make sure to have frozen bananas, frozen berries, and plain yogurt (or frozen yogurt) on hand to make smoothies. This will sometimes give me the fix I need. Recently, I have been keeping mini ice cream sandwiches in the fridge. If you can stop at one, they're not as bad for you as a regular-sized ice cream sandwich. :P

Sometimes I buy ice cream bars or the individual cups of "vanilla sundae." These pre-portioned treats are easy to "eat just one" and are about 120-150 calories, so easy to fit into my meal planning.

Sometimes I buy a fancier ice cream - this is more difficult because I have to exercise portion control with spoon and measuring cup. It's VERY tempting to pile a cup into a half-cup scoop and call it a serving - but - I resist, and measure exceedingly carefully. I then serve it in a small dessert cup instead of a bowl (looks too sad in a bowl, but somehow an "appropriate portion" when in a little dish). Then I eat it with a small dessert spoon, and really savour each little bite. Usually the flavour-hit will satisfy; only once so far have i gone back for a second half-cup.

ONCE I went to Dairy Queen and shared a banana split; this was a surprisingly disappointing experience!

I have one Skinny cow or Creamsicle on a stick every night at 7 pm, for snack, have done them for several years. Buy Healthy Choice ones at Costco for a good price, always have them on hand. We only have real ice cream if we go somewhere and it's a good brand.

I don't crave ice cream very often. When I do, I just eat regular ice cream.

While I like ice cream, it's not one of my usual downfalls--but during a streak of hot weather--oh yes. I bought a snowcone machine for $20 on sale, and love it with a little juice--a cold treat

Skinny Cow has icecream sandwiches in vanilla, mint and chocolate. They also have fudge bars and a couple of other things. They are delicious!

I don't! I avoid it at all costs!

Give up everything you love, and everything that tastes good = weight loss! Simple as that!

Our local Baskin Robbins has family night specials every Tuesday. I take my grandson there every week and we both enjoy a kiddie cone for $1 each. That once-a-week indulgence takes care of any ice cream craving I have because I enjoy a small scoop of something really decadent.

When it's really hot and I want a cold dessert, I get a package of frozen berries (raspberries, blackberries, strawberries, sometimes in a mix) and throw in a bit of splenda or a splash of crystal light. Blender it until it's as smooth or chunky as you want, and you've got something similar to a sorbet. But it's all fruit and no added sugar.

If I want something creamy, I take really ripe bananas, chop them up, freeze the banana chunks for about 4 hours, then blender until smooth and creamy. You can add milk, or any toppings you want, and it's very similar to ice cream. I usually drizzle it with honey.

I always have Weight Watchers and Skinny Cow frozen desserts on hand. They taste like your cheating! I love that Weight Watchers has changed their portions to be smaller so I can easily fit dessert in every day.

My favorite grocery store has gelato. I have broken down and eaten there once since I started. Probably will do it again.
