Hi all! I never made it here yesterday. I was off to the "big city" in the RW. Can we please just do a repeat of the feast that Linda was enjoying yesterday morning? Egg Benedict and mimosas sound perfect. I'll have mine with a pot of tea please, Viktor. That lovely basket of baked goods contains an assortment of things made with fresh seasonal fruits, yum! They smell heavenly.

I went to a farm-to-table restaurant last night and really enjoyed my dinner there (a bit too much, I'm afraid). I had Carolina gold rice grits topped with fresh seasonal veggies, goat cheese and a soft boiled egg with a wonderful pinot grigio. Not too bad had I stopped there, but my friend and I split a delicious brioche bread pudding with strawberries, toasted pecans, and oat crumble topping. Did I mention that it was served with chantilly cream and topped with a scoop of chocolate ice cream? Heavenly! I may have that for dessert tonight here at the cafe, and this time I'll eat the whole thing myself. emoticon

What's on the agenda for the holiday weekend, y'all? Paddle-boarding anyone?

Zzyyggy! Burgers and fries sounds good to me. Cookout on the beach. You could always have the apple pie filling over the ice cream. Mm, a s'mores hot fudge sundae for me, please.

Hi everyone, I'm here looking forward to another night on the beach. It's a perfect day in the real world here as well. Love that sunshine. I could really go for a bacon cheeseburger, fries, and an iced coca cola. For dessert how about a hotfudge sundae, and and that iced cafe mocha from this morning. Or that apple pie Linda had last night sounded good too. Heck why not have both lol.

Ah, Saturday morning at the cybercafe. Nice to sleep on the beach, isn't it Eabl? Oh, check out that cabana boy. Mm, would you care for a mimosa? Mine is delicious. This table fits perfectly between our chairs and we've got a pot of tea, a basket of baked goodies, and eggs Benedict under the cloche, plus a lovely fruit and veggies platter. You have to try this fruit dip. Zzyyggy should be along soon. They've got really yummy iced cafe mocha.

Pass the cream, please Eabl? Viktor, may I have my standard cheese and fruit platter with some ginger scones, thanks.

Snorkeling sounds good to me. Then we can have afternoon tea or drinks and appetizers on the beach under one of those canopies.

Hi Linda and Zzyyggy! I'm here early again so I can go snorkeling later. I'll just have my mid-morning snack first. Francois baked fresh scones, so I'll have a couple of those with lemon curd, cream and a pot of tea. Milk and sugar with my tea please, Viktor.

Anyone else up for a bit of snorkeling this morning?

Eabl, breakfast was yummy this morning, but it's time for dinner and I'm ready to go out to Eartha's vision of the cybercafe. So cool! Hey, Zzyyggy! We had a perfect day in the real world today--sunny, windy, 72 degrees. I wish every day could be like that.

Oh, yes, dinner. Argentinean empanadas, please and a nice antipasto platter, please Viktor. Oh, Viktor, could you select a wine for me, too? Thanks. I'm looking forward to apple pie for dessert later.

Hi everyone, I'm tired and starving right now. just spent the day with my sisters at the Shelburne museum, and that's a lot of walking. Tonight I think I'll have the seafood chowder and plenty of bread and butter for dipping. An icy cold coca cola would be good with that. For dessert I have a real hankering for peanut butter chocolate chip cookies, and an iced cafe mocha.

Hi Earthakitt - welcome to the cybercafe. You've come to the right place. At the moment, we have a pool, beach, and ocean at our disposal (the cafe moves around as the mood strikes us). We also have an excellent chef (Francois), and server (Viktor) who doubles as pool boy, spa worker, whatever. The food is excellent, the kitchen is always open, and they always have whatever you want. Best of all, nothing you eat here has any calories whatsoever.

Hey Linda, you up? Come join me. I'm having scrambled eggs with smoked salmon and home fries for brunch. Francois made some delicious croissants this morning, so I'll have one of those with butter and strawberry preserves. At pot of tea with milk and sugar with that. Thanks, Viktor!

Wow! That snorkeling was so terrific, I've been out there for 2 days! But I did work up an appetite. I'd like a heaping dish of linguini with seafood sauce (crab and lobster meat with shrimp in a garlic butter sauce), some garlic bread, and a glass of pinot grigio. Then I'll have some of the those mint chocolate chip cookies Linda and Zzyyggy are enjoying. Then I'll just pass out here on the beach for the night.

Mm, steak, potato, salad, coconut cream pie, AND chocolate! See, Eabl and I never get lost, we can find chocolate anywhere, especially if it's mint or chocolate covered caramel. Thanks Zzyyggy for putting out the chocolate. After all of that I'm going to need a nap for a day or two.

Hi everyone. Mmmm I wonder if Linda and Eable got lost while snorkeling in the lagoon yestarday. Maybe I should go and find them. When we get back I'm sure we could all use chocolate. For dinner I could go for a porter house steak, baked potato, and an icy cold coca cola. For dessert how about some klondike bars, and another evening of star gazing.

Hi everyone, Its rainy and gloomy here in the real world as well. I think I'll enjoy an evening on the tropical beach. Maybe I'll make a sandcastle on the beach while I wait for dinner. I'll stick with the island theme and have clams and baked potato with a large coca cola. For dessert how about one of those coconut cream pies, and an iced cafe mocha.

EABL! Are you in the water already? OH! There you are. Looks like I'm just in time. Hold on while I get my swim fins on. When we get back to the beach I'll have some of the mint brownies with chocolate chip mint ice cream and fudge sauce. Well, first I'll have the cheese and fruit plate or maybe mac and cheese. Do you think the lobster mind that you visit their ocean home and then eat them? Sputter . . .Eabl! Do not dunk my head underwater when I'm not ready! Okay, okay, I'll stop talking.

Wow, Linda - you got here super early! Good thing that Viktor and Francois live here and never leave. I'm here for an early lunch before I hit the reef. I'll have one of those lobster rolls for lunch. They were so good last night. Francois made mint brownies a little while ago, so I'll have one of those, too.

Want to do a little snorkeling with me later, Linda?

Hi all! Still at the beach I see. Sounds good to me, it's rainy and gloomy here again in the RW. For dinner, I'll have a lobster roll with corn on the cob and coleslaw, please. A glass of pinot gris with that. I'll have some of that carrot cake that Linda had for dessert. Hey, Zzyyggy, can I join your after dinner snorkel? That way we can work up an appetite for the s'mores later.

Hi everyone. I heard rumors that later tonight there will be a bonfire on the beach for those yummy s'mores, and popcorn. For dinner I think I'll have rotisserie chicken, potato salad, and corn on the cob with an icy cold coca cola. For dessert how about some chocolate chip cookie dough ice cream with chocolate sauce, and an iced cafe mocha. All that paddle boarding has made me hungry. I think I'll do some snorkeling after dinner before the bonfire.

Morning all! Still on the beach, I see. In that case, I'll put in my lunch order. I'd like a slice of that crab quiche that Francois is making, with the tomato, avocado, and corn salad on the side. In the meantime, I'll have a mid-morning snack. Viktor, please bring me one of those famous cyber-cafe cinnamon buns and a pot to Yunnan with milk and sugar. I'll just snag a beach recliner and umbrella and read my book over next to Linda, while I enjoy that. After lunch I'm going snorkeling again. I see Zzyyggy's on the paddle board again. Having four feet must make it much easier to balance! Wonderful how she can maneuver that paddle in her mouth.

Oh wow did we land on Gilligan's Island or own island again. I love it. Paddle boarding all afternoon, and now sitting on the beach enjoying an iced cafe mocha just perfect. And yup I do smell chocolate chip cookies baking. For dinner I could go for a barbecued swordfish, baked potato, corn on the cob. Lots of butter with everything, and an icy cold coca cola. For dessert I'll have some klondike bars while watching the sunset. I enjoy reading for pleasure as well, but I do a lot of reading for learning on the computer. Although for bedtime reading I do like something nice and light.

Hey, Eabl. Nice beach. We can sit in our recliners under the palm trees and watch the waves crash. Is that Zzyyggy out there on the paddle board?

Potato salad and barbecued chicken for lunch sounds good to me. Francois made some chocolate chip cookies with walnuts and craisins, just the way I like them. Mm, cookies and coffee for dessert. Perfect.

Hi all! Apparently Jadiegirl got her wish because that's definitely ocean lapping at the sand outside the cyber-cafe this morning. I'll have to get out my snorkel gear later and cruise the reef. That is a reef I see out there just beyond the break water.

I'll have some of that potato salad that Linda was eating yesterday for lunch and some grilled shrimp to go with. Maybe some chocolate chip cookies after. I know that Francois made some. He always keeps a batch or two on hand for Zzyyggy.

Linda, I agree with you. Reading for pleasure should be just that. I read a lot for work, so when I'm home, I tend to stick to light reading. I'm a fan of mysteries. Interesting enough to keep me reading, but not so heavy that I can't keep track even if I don't have much time to read everyday. I do tend to devour them in the summer though, when my schedule slows down.

Potato salad with hard boiled eggs and Duke's mayo for dinner, please. I think I'll have ice cream, too, Zzyyggy. Coffee ice cream swirled with chocolate fudge and sprinkled with mini M&M's would be good. If I fall asleep Zzyyggy wake me up for the sunset. We don't often have pretty sunsets where I live.

Eabl, that cake sounds yummy. I'll definitely have a piece after I finish my lunch. Somehow I missed #4 in the Kate Burkholder series. I'll get it as soon as my nook starts behaving--the platform on that device is awful. I'm waiting for the price to come down before I buy #8. Right now I'm reading Eliza Green's Exilon 5 series. My sisters and mom are appalled at my choice of reading material--I like sci-fi and paranormal romance, but I'm not reading for enlightenment, just entertainment. I also like mysteries. I liked James R. Benn's Billy Boyle books. Billy goes to work for his Aunt Mamie's husband so he'll be safe in D.C. during World War II.

Hi Gertie - welcome to the cyber-cafe. His name is Viktor and I happen to know he's unattached. Before you make up your mind, though, you should see the chef, Francois!

I love summers when I can get here earlier, even in time for brunch sometimes. Since I had a filling and nutritious breakfast in the RW, I think I've earned mid-morning cyber snack. I'll have a pot of tea with milk and sugar and a slice of Francois's wonderful chocolate Nutella layer cake. It's four layers of deep, moist, dark chocolate cake, sandwiched with Nutella cream, iced with rich chocolate ganache and decorated with Nutella buttercream rosettes and dark chocolate shavings. Magnifique!

Saves me from having to think up something new, and I can eat hummingbird cake any day of the week. Besides, with all of those fruits and nuts, and the cream cheese icing, it almost qualifies as health food, right?

Mm, cake for breakfast. I'll have some of Eabl's hummingbird cake, please, with a pot of tea. Great morning out here on the cybercafe terrace. Maybe I can sit here and read for awhile.

Hi Linda - happy Mother's Day! Looks like Zzyyggy hasn't gotten here yet. I expect she'll show up for dinner. Since it's Mother's day (and I think that fur-faces count for that), I'm going to treat myself to a whooping big slice of hummingbird cake for tea. A pot of vanilla chai with milk and sugar with that please, Viktor. In honor of the day Francois has topped the cream cheese icing with a beautiful arrangement of edible flower heads and sugar pearls, and pipped mini rosettes along the base. Almost too lovely to eat, but that won't stop me!

Sunday afternoon and Mother's Day, too. Did all that stuff so now I can sit by the pool at the cybercafe and take a nap. But first I'll have a sweet tea and some of the mini apricot ginger scones Francois made for afternoon tea.

LOL, Linda, that is another way of looking at it! Provided, of course, that the squash make it. Right now I just have one little seeding that poked its head up out of the first set of seeds I planted. I went ahead and planted a few more last week, but until this afternoon, I'm not sure if they've seen the sun at all since.

But enough of squash! I'd like some homemade pappardelle with balsamic tomato sauce and a side of meatballs for dinner. Plenty of grated parmigiano-reggiano on that please, Viktor, and a side of garlic bread. A nice Sangiovese should go well with that.

For dessert, I'd like a slice of the opera cake that Francois whipped up today.

Eabl, tea was wonderful this afternoon, thank you. Zzyyggy, I think I'll join you for a cheeseburger with french fries--cheesy curly fries. I've been dreaming of Heath Bars. Maybe crushed Heath Bars on caramel ice cream with fudge sauce for dessert? Yup, sounds good. I'll just sprinkle some M&M's on there.

Eabl, think of the poor drowned veggies this way: they'll be all the more special when you're inundated with squash this summer.

Hi everyone, It's dreary and cloudy here in the real world as well. Blah. I'll enjoy an evening on the terrace by the pool. For dinner I could really go for a bacon cheeseburger with french fries and a large coca cola. For dessert how about a hot fudge sundae with a cafe mocha.

Hello all! I'm back for tea again today. This is getting to be a habit! I'll have a pot of Yunnan with milk and sugar, scones with the fixings, and a platter of little tea sandwiches and sweets.

It's still gloomy in the RW, so I'm headed out onto the terrace to soak up the cyber sun. Seriously, with the all of the rain we're getting in the RW, I'm afraid my veggies are all going to drown. They're not growing very fast, and some plants are looking a bit worse for wear. Hope that the sun shows up soon!

Hi everyone, it's perfect weather here in the real world, but I think we're getting your rain tomorrow. I could go for a barbecue tonight but I'll join Linda and Eable by the fire. They look so cozy there with their tea, and books. I'll have barbecued salmon tonight with baked potatoes and peas and onions with lots of butter of course and a large icy cold coca cola. For dessert I'll have an iced cafe mocha and some chocolate chip cookie dough ice cream.

Eabl! It's cold and drizzly where I live, too. I'll join you by the fire. First mac and cheese and then madeleines and tea for me. Finally, I might have time to read my book some more.

Hi all! I good day for sitting by the fire in the RW, too. Cool and drizzly. Loved that book, Linda! Great mystery. Actually that tea with chocolate dipped madeleines sounds like the perfect mid-morning break. I'll have the Darjeeling with milk and sugar please, Viktor.

Time to sit by the fire. I'm ready for some tea and madeleines dipped in chocolate and chopped pecans. Then I'll read my new Linda Castillo mystery "After The Storm." I just have to be careful that I don't stay up all night reading.

Hi everyone. I think I'll join Eable out by the pool. Not so much gloomy around here but chilly. Speaking of chilly, I think I'll have some chili tonight with an icy cold coca cola. I haven't had really good chili for ages, and of course the cyber cafe makes the best. For dessert I think I'll have some of those brownies from last nigh, and an iced cafe mocha. Aaahhh the sun feels so warm.

Good morning cyber-cafe'ers! It's rather gloomy in the RW, so I'm back for a day lounging on the terrace. I'll have the tea again please, Viktor. Scones with curd and cream, some smoked salmon, curried egg, and pate tea sandwiches would be nice, and of course, some of those delicious little Russian tea cakes that Francois has just baked.

Might go for a dip in the pool later, but for now I'll just enjoy my book and see who shows up.

Chinese for dinner sounds good to me, too. I know it's non-traditional but I want dim sum. Pork and shrimp dumplings to start with, please and a gai bao. And maybe some sticky rice with chicken. And lots of tea please, Viktor. For dessert I'll have sesame balls with bean paste and some almond cookies.

The one problem with this order is that it contains nothing chocolate. So we'll have to have snacks later! Maybe brownies?

Hi everyone, I like Linda's Chineese order for dinner. Except I'll go for the chicken fingers, General T'so's chicken, and pork fried rice with some hot tea and cream. For dessert I'll have a hot mug of cafe mocha. Still cold around here so I'll enjoy an evening by the fire.

Mm, scones. Be careful with your tea, Eabl. Useless will drink the tea if it has cream or milk in it!

For dinner I'll have shrimp toast, egg rolls, moo shu chicken, and chicken fried rice. Let's not forget the fortune cookies!

Hello everyone! I'm back today to have some of those tea sandwiches that Linda enjoyed yesterday. After a cold, drizzly day yesterday, Linda sent some of that sunshine a little further north today, at least for now, anyway. Rain to return in a few hours, so I'll probably just stay here for the remainder. A pot of tea will go well with my sandwiches, and some scones with clotted cream and lemon curd. If I don't order the clotted cream, Useless gets quite miffed. I try to tell him that cats shouldn't eat dairy, but he doesn't believe me. Cats, as we all know, can be quite stubborn.

Hi everyone. I'm cold, starving and tired. I think I'll join Linda and Eable out by the pool in the sunshine. For dinner how about Fried chicken with mashed potatoes, and gravy, and those yummy biscuits and butter. Corn on the cob and a coca cola would be good with those. For dessert I'll have a hot mug of cafe mocha maybe that and the sunshine will thaw me out.

Hey, Eabl! I see Useless stuck his nose in the whipped cream. He just can't help himself. We're having one of those gorgeous days in the RW--low humidty, going up to 80 degrees, with cloudy skies this morning, but beautiful clear skies this afternoon. Still, I always have time for a good book and a nap, no matter what the weather.

A pot of tea sounds good, Viktor. A cheese and fruit platter, with some of those cute little tea sandwiches for me, please. I haven't had a cream cheese and olive sandwich for years. Could be that I'm allergic to the cream cheese, but, hey, thank goodness for the cybercafe! Mm, Eabl have you tried the crab salad tea sandwiches? Really wonderful.

Hi all! I'm here for brunch. I'll have mine out on the terrace in the bright sunshine. It's cool and drizzly in the RW, so I might just spend the rest of the afternoon out here with a good book. There may be a nap in my future as well.

For brunch I'll have the cinnamon bun french toast with maple syrup and whipped cream. Tea with cream and sugar as well, please. Hope Linda and Zzyyggy show up to keep me company soon. Until then, Moxie and Useless will have to do.

Baklava for dessert and some espresso with sugar and a twist of lemon. Oh, look at these cute little chocolate bars with caramel on top that Francois made. Viktor, more wine please.

Hi all! I'm back from my Cinco de Mayo celebration, and am ready for a bedtime snack. It's pretty cool out in the RW, so a milkshake just doesn't appeal to me. I think I'll have some of that warm berry cobbler that Francois made this evening with a side of whipped cream. Yummy!

Hi everyone. Well the sun finally came out around here but the wind is wildly blowing in the real world. I'll enjoy a late afternoon by the cyber pool with a nice gentle breeze blowing. For dinner I'll have the bacon cheeseburger platter with fries, and coleslaw and an icy cold coca cola. For dessert how about a very thick chocolate milk shake. I haven't had one of those in ages.

Oh no! I missed Cinco de Mayo! Lucky for me, the cyber cafe has this wonderful time machine. I'll just sit in the recliner, press the magic button and Wham! Back to yesterday. Okay, Viktor, for lunch I'm having the enchiladas verde, with rice, beans, and those homemade tortillas (lots of butter to melt on those chewy, warm tortillas, please). I'll have a marg with that please. Gee, this mariachi band is great! I'll just sit here by the pool, enjoy the music and the lovely sunshine for the afternoon, then zip back to Saturday for dinner. Wonder what Francois has planned?

Fajitas and margaritas for me, please. Great celebration Zzyyggy. Love the Mariachi band and the decorations.

Hi everyone, I guess everybody is out celebrating May 5th. Although the terrace around the pool looks beautiful with all the lanterns up. The boys are grilling Mexican food, and the margaritas are flowing. I'll take a coca cola instead though, and some of the Mexican chicken and potatoes dish that is on the grill smelling so good. For dessert how about some ice cream and an iced cafe mocha.

Hi everyone. Today is national Star Wars Day. Anyone up for a Star Warsathon? Tonight I'll go for pizza and chicken wings and an icy cold coca cola. For dessert how about some chocolate ice cream, chocolate sauce, and an iced cafe mocha. Popcorn and drinks with the movies. Looks like the boys are setting the patio up for the May 5th celebration other wise known as cinco de miao.

Hi all! Didn't get here at all the past couple of days because of end-of-semester crunch, so I thought I'd come by today for brunch. I'll have the eggs scrambled with smoked salmon and asparagus, with home fried potatoes and a cinnamon bun on the side. Fresh tea with milk and sugar with that please, Viktor. It's rather chilly and gloomy here in the RW, so it's a great day to sit out on the cyber-cafe patio and enjoy the sunshine. Moxie, Cinnamon Bun, Mrs. Marley and the kids are all out in the meadow having fun. So great to have the chance to just sit and relax for a while. Gotta love summer break!
