Whoa, the cybercafe seems to be in a time warp today. Think I'll go out by the pool and order my usual martini, then the nachos deluxe. Viktor, do we still have chocolate cake with the hazelnut and raspberry filling and the chocolate buttercream icing? May I please have that for dessert with my coffee?

I think today I would like to walk into the cybercafe and have the maitre d' shut the doors and roll the clocks back - way back.

Then I'd like to have lunch with my parents. It's one of 'those' days. I'll have whatever is on the special for today - I don't really care what it is - and they can order anything they want, my treat.

Just don't open those doors for a while. I've really missed them, and we've got a lot of catching up to do.

Hi Peaceful! I see we are thinking along the same lines. I'm here for the two most important food groups: chocolate and wine. I'd like a box of truffles and a bottle of pinot noir, please, Viktor. You'll find me out on a recliner on the patio folks. This meal calls for serious focused attention.

Yum, chocolate cake, I'll have a piece of that with 7 minute frosting and a bowl of chocolate ice cream with peanut butter candy and ribbons of caramel. That should be my sugar fix for tonight.

?Wha....?? Yawn! 'cuse me... Wow, it's well past dinner time! I guess I dozed off there. Kinda hungry, though. I smell pizza. Viktor, can I please have a sausage, mushroom, and olive pizza? Oh, and a glass of red wine to go with that. While I'm waiting, I'll just munch on these garlic knots.

Hey, Linda, is there any of that cake left?

Oh, look, there's Linda and Peachygirl! Hi girls, can I pull up a recliner? I'm in need of a mid-afternoon pick-me-up. Didn't sleep so well last night and had to get up very early this morning (hate when that happens). Viktor, can you please bring me a large iced-chai latte, and a slice of that nice chocolate cake that Linda and I had last night? That should have me buzzed! If not, I'll just take a nap here in the sun.

Had my cybercafe cinnamon bun and coffee this morning. Then I went for a nice swim and surfed the cyberpool. Now I'm ready for lunch! I'd like to order the Hudson Deli roast beef sub with swiss, lettuce, tomato, mayo, and pickles, please. I'll take that over to the gazebo. I've got my coke and book by my chair and I'm ready for a quiet afternoon.

Hi Linda - nice to see you! Why choose? This is the cyber-café - have them both!

I'm here for dinner. I'd like the baked ham with roasted corn fritters and green tomato chutney, please, Viktor. I'll have a glass of Riesling with that. For dessert, I'll have that chocolate layer cake that Linda was talking about. It sounds luscious!

Beautiful day to sit in the gazebo at the cybercafe. Just reading my Jane Perry novel. I could go for the cheese and fruit platter with a nice glass of Chablis, please. Then I think a big old sweet Italian sausage sandwich with peppers, onions, tomato sauce, and provolone would be great. I'm still debating dessert. Do I get the white cake with lemon filling and icing with lovely toasted coconut or do I get the 6 layer chocolate cake with alternating layers of raspberry and hazelnut cream filling, iced with buttercream chocolate and rolled in crushed hazelnuts? Hmm.

Here's your order Carolinasa! We've added some nice crusty bread to go with it (wouldn't want to waste a drop of that creamy sauce). And welcome to the cyber-café - that was a great first order.

Hi again, Themfolk - nice to see you back! I'm glad to see you're enjoying the salad bar. All the veggies are grown right here on the adjacent cyber-farm. Love the music - just what the doctor ordered after a busy day.

Mind if I join you in that wine? It will go nicely with my fettuccini carbonara. For dessert I'm having the tiramisu. Francois makes a lovely one.

I'm back for that fabulous salad bar - the one with brined olives, the broad assortment of domestic and imported cheeses, an array of meats and an endless variety of vegetables. (I couldn't grow a garden this year, and have really been missing all of those fresh vegetables)

Today I'm going for a bed of greens topped with sliced green bell peppers, slivered onions, cucumber rounds, ripe cherry tomatoes, blueberries, crispy chopped apple, chopped roasted chicken, a sprinkling of crumbled blue cheese, a swirl of extra virgin olive oil, a splash of balsamic vinegar, salt and pepper, a handful of chopped toasted almonds and a thick slab of crusty, seasoned garlic bread lightly slathered with real butter.

And a light but lively white wine, please.

For dessert: yellow Atalfo mangoes and fresh Ranier cherries. plus a slice of rich New York cheesecake.

And music! Preferably a live group, complete with strings and maybe even a sax, playing lilting instrumentals during dinner, but taking it up several notches with a talented vocalist when people are finished eating and are ready to dance...

Hi, fellow cyber-cafers! It's lunch time, and I'm starving! I think I'll stay with the Italian theme as of late and have a meatball sub with melted provolone for lunch. Haven't had one of those since..., well, can't remember, actually.

After lunch I believe I'll just wander out to the patio, pull up a recliner, and read a nice mystery novel. Turning pages is about all of the exercise I'm in the mood for right now. Later, I might just go for a swim in the pool. The wave machine makes for a nice bit of exercise.

That chai sounds good, Peachy - I'll have one too, please, Viktor. For a bedtime snack tonight, I think I'll have another Philly cheesesteak with provolone and pizza sauce (called them pizza steaks when I was growing up). I'll have some fries with that, please, and a glass of cabernet.

Here I come diving into the pool. How about that for a swan dive. It's hotter then you know where around here, and I'm sweating like a you know what. So a little swim in the nice cool pool is nice. I could go for a roast beef sub, potato salad, and coleslaw. An icy cold coca cola to drink, and for dessert how about a never ending plate of chocolate chip cookies, and my usual cafe mocha. I'll take that by the pool.

Hi all! Love the Italian dinner theme. I'll have the carbonara as well, with some pinot grigio. The gelato for dessert sounds good, too. Maybe some hazelnut torte as a chaser.

Hmm... Pennsylvanian food. Well, scrapple would certainly qualify, as would Tastykakes. And there's always chow-chow, oh, and shoo-fly pie. I've always loved cheesesteaks and soft-pretzels. If we're celebrating Witness though, the scrapple, chow-chow, and shoofly pie would be best. Soup with dumplings is pretty authentic, too - I forget what the dumplings are called, but it begins with an "r". I think I'm getting ideas for my orders tomorrow. Breakfast would be scrapple and eggs, with bread and apple butter. For lunch I'll head over to Philly for a cheesesteak with grilled onions and peppers with French fries and a coke. I'll have a soft pretzel for an afternoon snack. Pizza for dinner, I think (I'll head down to South Philly for dinner), and some Tastykakes to snack on throughout the day.

Oh, I forgot! This is the cyber-café! I can have all of that right here.

Good choice, PT.JEFFGIRL! I'll go with the italian theme and have chicken parm, then spaghetti carbonara with extra bacon, followed by a salad misto and a some chocolate gelato. Here ya go, ZZYYGG........have some of the gelato to soothe your chocolate cravings.....

I loved watching Linda tool around on her yacht, fortunately, since she's a mouse, our cyberpool seems like an ocean to her!

EABL....shall we have some Pennsylvanian cuisine in honor of Witness? It's also one of my faves! Btw......what would Pennsylvanian cuisine be?

In any case, I'll roll out the popcorn cart for tonight's movie, complete with all the toppings and mix-ins you can think of!

Eabl--don't know if they caught the cat! Haven't seen the neighborhood gossip, yet. Haven't seen the cat, either. She's real sweet, maybe someone made her an indoor kitty.

I'll start with a nice dry martini, straight up with an olive and the cheese and fruit platter, please. What's for dinner anyway?

Hi everyone! Peaceful, I sure did enjoy Witness last night. It's one of my old favorites. Speaking of cats, Linda, did your neighbor ever catch hers? Choowy, those nachos sound wonderful. I'll have some. Is there such a thing as a peach pie sundae? If so, that's what I'll have after my nachos. I turned down the peach pie last night in the RW, in favor of an obscenely large slice of chocolate cake (with chocolate buttercream icing, to boot!), and now I'm craving peach pie. I know it's one of Linda's favorites, too. I'll have a slice of the one she's having. Does pie ala mode count as a sundae? Make my ice cream cinnamon, please!
Oh, and Viktor, may I please have a margarita with my nachos? Okay, I'm all set. So what movies are we watching tonight?

Oh, Peacefulone I loved your movie night! I'm not sure how, but I ended up sleeping on Useless (the cat) for the night. My back's okay, but I think I put a bit of a crimp in my tail. Choowy, your breakfast from yesterday sounds wonderful. I think I'll have one of those blackberry hand pies with my spinach and goat cheese salad, along with some nice sausage hand pies, please. Viktor, you spoil me. Thanks for the pot of fresh brewed Earl Grey tea. My favorite! While I love peach cobbler, I think I'd prefer some peach custard pie with my vanilla ice cream for dessert.

Hi all! It's good to see you. It was getting lonely around here. Viktor and Francois resorted to playing chess out on the patio, that is until Renata showed up.

I had one huge piece of chocolate layer cake in the RW tonight, so I don't think I'm allowed to look at it, even here right now. Right, so I'll have the veggie plate with hummus and a teeny bit of white wine, please.

Wow! THEMFOLK came out with an awesome debut order!

...and PEACEFULONE by virtue of attendance and fun orders is now officially one of the irregular regulars here at the cybercafe!

The summer fair was a rousing success! Viktor, Francois and Igor provided amazing musical entertainment. I hear that they have a fan base and groupies now.....

I'm hankering for some fresh fruit desserts, pies, cobblers, pastries, and cakes, all with rich, creamy vanilla ice cream on the side. I'll start with peach cobbler and work through pineapple angelfood cake with cream cheese frosting, blackberry hand pies, apricot Danishes....and then I'll think about what to have for lunch.....

Wow! Business is really slooooow lately. What gives? No one has any cravings? Nobody can think of some sinful indulgence to order? I don't get it!

Well, I have no such problems. Hi Viktor! I'll have a large plate of fettuccini carbonara with crusty Italian bread and olive oil. Some pinot gris with that, please. For dessert, I'll have the chocolate stout cake with white chocolate cream cheese icing.

Hi Themfolk - welcome to the cyber-café where our motto is "If you can dream it, you can eat it." Don't worry, though, nothing you order here has any calories, so feel free to indulge!

I'm in the mood for a large slice of hazelnut torte with chocolate ganache topping. I'll have a glass of red wine with that.

Hmmm...

This buffet is lavish. It's got everything, doesn't it?

I go directly to the ice-filled salad bar, fill my plate with crisp salad greens and pile it high with lots of fresh, ripe cherry tomatoes, sliced purple onions, green peppers, cucumbers, chopped roasted chicken, marinated mushrooms, red grapes, crumbled feta cheese, sliced cured green olives...and top it with extra virgin olive oil and balsamic vinegar, salt and pepper and a sprinkling of chopped, toasted almonds. I put a slice of toasted garlic bread on the side of the plate, and ask the bartender for a single glass of his best white wine.

For dessert, spears of perfectly ripe pineapple...

Delicious!

Midnight munchies so it's lasagna for a late night snack-yum! Then I'll have some chocolate ice cream with fudge sauce and caramel sauce. A few of those warm chocolate chip cookies too would be lovely!

Helllloooo? My there's quite an echo in here! Sure is quiet. Hi, Viktor, looks like it's just you and me tonight. I'll have a glass of pinot noir please. So, Francois made some lasagna tonight? I'll have a serving of that please, with some crusty Italian bread and olive oil. For dessert, the tiramisu, please. Hope business picks up soon!

Hi all! I think that the guys are pretty worn out from the fair, so they've taken the evening off. However, they've left open the kitchen and the fridge is full of leftovers. I've just found a large slab of baby back ribs, so I'm going to carve off a section for my dinner. There's some potato salad in here as well. What's this? Looks like a pitcher of margaritas. That will go very nicely. Here's a beautiful piece hummingbird cake - I think that will cover dessert for me. All set!

Did you try the savory hand pies? So yummy! I'm all shopped out and I'm just going to sit back in my recliner and enjoy the evening's music. I've got my Dr. Pepper and I'm ready for my favorite sundae--turtle brownie with chocolate chip mint ice cream, cold hot fudge sauce, and maraschino cherries.

Hi all! Some terrific orders here at the cyber-fair. Today's the last day so the guys are pulling out the stops. All of your favorite fair goodies from days gone by, plus any international cuisine you're ready to try. I'm going to the pizza booth. They're making it up to order. I'm going to have a slice with artichokes, wild mushrooms, feta, and olives first. Then see what strikes my fancy. Nothing like a day in the great outdoors to kick your appetite into high gear.

What a fun day at the street fair, and craft fair. I think I'll take a little of this, and that and the other thing. I'm following Linda and Eable around. The animals are so cute.

What a wonderful day at the fair! I'm loving the fair food vendors with their international flavor. I'll have the Greek sampler plate please and then some cotton candy and a corn dog. Haven't had those since I was a child. Will they taste as yummy as I remember? I'm sure Victor is going to make them taste even better than my memories!

Hey Peachy and Linda! Isn't this fair wonderful? Linda, I see you found the Greek food vendor. That meal looks great. Viktor was cooking up some of his fabulous paella (he's half Basque, you know), and I couldn't resist. I'm having that with some Txakolina. I haven't had it before, but Viktor assures me that it's the wine most often drunk there. It has a lovely fizz and I'm dying to try it. For dessert, he's made a lovely Basque gateau, with brandied cherries.

On egin! (which Viktor tells me is "cheers" in Basque - I hope he was serious, and I haven't just uttered some profanity! emoticon ).

Okay, Eabl, my feet are getting tired from following you around. I'm going to go float in the pool for awhile and then find some spanakopita, stuffed grape leafs, and baklava for dinner.

Good morning, cyber-caférs! What a lovely day for the cyber-café fair. So many lovely crafts on sale. I especially love those made right here on the cyber-farm. Let's see... there's sweet-smelling goat milk soaps scented with herbs and flowers grown right here, and made from milk from you-know-who. I especially love the lavender, although the rosemary is nice as well. These brown and white tweed (Cinnamon Bun colored) alpaca socks are so soft and toasty. I may have to buy a pair of those. The felted hats are made from cyber-farm sheep wool and are wonderful in keeping the moisture from melting snow off your hair, since the felting makes them almost waterproof. Francois has a booth full of home-baked wonders, and the music is quite lively.

I think I'll have a cinnamon bun and some tea, then spend the next hour or so just wandering the grounds. Once I've seen the fair, I'll go up to the barn and visit the animals. What a perfect day!
