Seems like I get them in waves - a bunch in a row and then now for awhile.

After I had hole fixed in my cheek sinus no more headaches. I had a wisdom tooth pulled and they pull the maxillary floor with the root. Eventually the hole increased as bacteria moved from my mouth to my sinuses and eventallually there was a one inch cyst filled with bone fragments. If you ever had a wisdom tooth with long roots pulled and wonder, a CAT scan is the only way to see if the floor is still there.

headaches are basically a daily thing for me....I get them when I don't eat enough or on my treat day the sugar can give me a headache. I am allergic to sugar alcohols. I grind my teeth which means I tend to wake up with headaches. I carry my stress in my shoulder/neck area. I think sometimes when you are losing a weight your hormones are effected. On one episode of that wieghtloss show where the training works with one overweight person....extreme weightloss??? the guy he was helping was puking like every workout. I get sinus infections and sinus pressure headaches....for me these are worse than my occasional migraine. Getting your blood pressure and basic blood labwork done can't hurt!

I used to get headaches all the time. Now I only get them when TOM arrives, and when I don't drink enough water.

I get headaches from Aspartame. I did the Atkins diet about 10 years ago & was eating a lot of things with aspartame in them. My mother-in-law sent me an article that some people get bad headaches from the artificial sweetener. I stopped eating the stuff & my headaches went away. A couple of years ago, I started drinking diet pop again just to see if I would get a headache & I did. So that could be something to look into. Have you switched to diet pop since you have been dieting? It is in other foods to like some yogurts.

I would love to be able to provide you with an answer but I've been having headaches now for seven years constantly. Never associated it with my diet before though. You have given me food for thought, so to speak. Thanks. Hope you get it sorted soon. I know how bad they can be.

I just started back on the plan this week, and have had a few headaches. I chocked them up to sugar withdrawal, since I have not been eating chocolate, candy, etc anywhere near as much as I was eating it before. Oddly enough, before I got back on the diet, eating large amounts of sugar, like over-frosted cupcakes, etc. would give me a pretty bad headace too. There was one particular day when I had lunch around 1:30pm and did not eat anything until dinner at 10:30pm. That was clearly too long to go without eating and I developed a headache, a mild case of the shakes, and then kept waking up all night sweating which is apparently a sign of low blood sugar.

Oh and I haven't had any artificial sweeteners. I do know that aspartame gives me a mild headache every single time.

It was probably a dramatic slash to the 1500 calorie mark, but since I wasn't tracking I don't know exactly how much. I haven't made any other dramatic changes. I really just started in earnest on Monday, and I have only had this headache all day today. I do usually get them when losing weight, but possibly not this noticeably. I just wondered if it was normal.

Headaches is one malady that I dont have and I am very thankful for that. I used to get migraines when I was a teenager and I still remember just how much they hurt.

I started getting headaches when I put a lot of "sugar free" foods and such into my diet. Came to find out I was having a reaction to the fake/chemical sugar substitutes. Also if I am dehydrated I will get headaches, and like the pp said, allergies trigger them as well. If you keep getting them definitely see your doc. Best wishes!

Did you dramatically decrease your calories to the 1500 level? Are there any other changes you've made to your diet/exercise program recently? Have you always had this problem with headaches? Coach Jen

Does anyone else get nagging headaches when successfully losing weight? I am trying to keep my calories at or slightly above 1500 calories per day, and I'm drinking more water than usual. I haven't cut back on the small amount of caffeine I generally consume. I cannot understand the reason for it. Anyone else?
