I like stuff that is kind of dissonant and noisy. I run better when I feel like I am running from something. In that vein: The album Deceit by This Heat (particularly Paper Hats, SPQR, and A New Kind of Water), and Sonic Youth's Washing Machine have been in heavy rotation. Sometimes righteous indignation gets me going, too. Ive been listening to Repeater and Steady Diet of Nothing both by Fugazi. If Im in a really good mood, the first album by The Cars.

Lost 65lbs in 15 months to get healthy and in top shape to try to get pregnant, and succeeded! Had our first baby in February 2013! I only gained 32lbs in my pregnancy (and immediately lost half within a few weeks of his birth). April 1st is my full restart date.

My latest favorite artist is Big Joe Turner. And, Shake Rattle and Roll will definitely make the treadmill a little faster and a lot more fun.

Don't Stop by Fleetwood Mac. Somehow this song has given me what I needed to pick myself up and move forward even at some of the lowest times of my life. It was popular when I was in high school, and I did live through some tough times, even then. If I had to pick just one it'd be "who gon stop me" by Jay-Z and Kanye. Good chorus and it speeds up in the middle.

Any Britney Spears song, but mostly the ones from her Blackout album. They all have great beats, confident messages, and they get me thinking about how great her body is too!

"All Hell's Breaking Loose" by KISS is always a favorite of mine - makes me want to go kick some butt! Also really like "Ballroom Blitz" by Sweet - always a toe tapper, can't help but move when I hear that song!

"Just like a Pill" - Pink - especially if I'm using exercise to destress "Take it to the Hole" - LMFAO - nothing particularly inspiring about the lyrics, just a great rhythm! Their whole album is superb for that!
