I'm a vegan so veggies are my life! Seriously, though, I put them in fritadas, salads, soups, casseroles, chili, non-egg omelets, quiches and a lot of times I just eat them by themselves, especially carrots, broccoli, green beans (love them raw), celery, spinach, tomatoes...Now I want a salad!

I don't aim for any particular amount of fruits or vegetables as I don't digest them well and can't eat all that many.

One thing I love is green smoothies made in my NutriBullet.

I also like roasted veggies and chopped salads.

Resolved in 2014 to remain below 120!

this time of year it's so easy.... I snack on cucumbers, tomatoes, peppers from the garden and pick the pears, plums and grapes from the orchard ....I get way more than 5 servings these days....

I add spinach & feta to my eggs in the am...got the recpie from here.
I eat a banana every am after the treadmill

Sometimes I get my servicing of vegetable in my omelet in the morning. I will set up snack baggies with pre portioned fruit and veggies and leave them ready in the fridge. I will make a smoothie with fruit and sometimes with spinach mixed in.

Progress may be slow, but it happens!
No such thing as last place only finishers.

I like to fix me some hummus dip my carrots, radishes, celery, cherry tomatoes, in them for a snack and I get a lot of raw vegetables also. I have me a cup of greens sometimes for a snack. I love to cook kale, chard and turnip greens together with turnip roots. Just think up fun ways to get your vegetables in. I love spaghetti and meat sauce and I add bellpeppers, onions, garlic, mushrooms, lots of them and I get vegetables like that.
I had a banana and powdered peanut butter for a snack after I weight lifted.

I am transforming.

That, and drinking water are probably the easiest daily goals to accomplish. I usually eat way more than five fruits and veggies.

It's probably not exactly fair to answer this as I am vegan raw and all i eat are fruit and veggies with some nuts and seeds thrown in.

But before I changed my lifestyle, I barely got them in. I never heard of a smoothie before, veggies for breakfast just sounded icky. But even before I changed to raw vegan, I loved raw veggies.
I would eat plenty of fruit in the morning for breakfast and my snack. I loved apples with peanut butter. I loved dipping my veggies in hummus and other cheesy spreads. I made sure that i had a veggie at dinner. I was probably just squeaking by with my 5 servings.

But since I changed, I have no problems. I can pretty much get all my servings of fruit and veggies in with my morning smoothie. I do about 2 or three servings of spinach, a serving of carrots and celery combined, half a banana, a handful of berries and then I throw in extra powders such as acai powder, complex C, spirulina and kelp. Add enough water and whirl it up in the vitamix. Yummy.
Lunch is a salad or other concoction. I make turnip tarts, mock stir frys, and a dozen different soups. dinner is more of the same,
My snacks are juices. I use powdered juices as I don't have a juicer yet. Get them from HAACRES.com.

Add them in where you can. Grab a few sticks of celery or a few florets of cauliflower or broccoli. Eat an apple or other hand fruit. Don't be afraid of veggies and fruit.

I started trying veggie wraps when I go out with friends, or ordering a veggie sub at lunch from Subway instead of the turkey, or when my family got together recently for an event and ordered pizza, I made sure they ordered a thin crust veggie pizza for all ... it was the first one gone!

I do smoothies as well. I use 1/2 cup each of two or three different kinds of berries. Each 1/2 cup is a serving. I also try to have a whole grapefruit with lunch each day. (The whole grapefruit is 2 servings). Then I usually have one or two veggies with dinner.

My snacks are typically raw vegetables or fruit (okay, sometimes Cheestos). emoticon

And we always have some non-starchy vegetable with dinner.

I usually have banana with breakfast cereal. I often have fruit juice for breakfast or at another point during the day. If I'm taking a packed lunch out I'll add carrot sticks, grapes or a satsuma. (Apples are difficult for taking out as I have some false teeth - I can eat them at home cut up!) I have veg with my evening meal - often broccoli as that's so quick and easy and good for you, often carrots, runner beans if they're in season, baby sweet corns, mange tout etc. If I'm feeling really lazy it will be frozen peas and/or sweetcorn.

I like the frozen microwaveable pouches of fresh veggies. You can also have raw veggies and dip.
V-8 juice claims to contain 2 servings of veggies per can. Fruit fusion has fruits and veggies also. There is some controversy over whether or not it's true though.
Vegetable soups is another way with the cold weather coming.

I may not be there yet, but I'm closer than I was yesterday.

Losing weight is hard.
Maintaining weight is hard.

I add 2 veggies to my egg white omelet- asparagus, peppers, broccoli, cauliflower and a fruit with breakfast. Tomatoes/onion/celery on my sandwich and another fruit at lunch and then one veggie at dinner. It works for me to get them in early in the day

Don't laught but I eat big sized fruit and double up on the veggies at one sitting. The apple you are eating my actually be 2 servings of fruit depending on its size....so double check serving size, you may be eating the amounts that you need

Fruits are a cinch for me, as I just can't get enough of them. On the other side, though, veggies I do have a struggle with. Radishes are about all I will nibble on and broccoli & spaghetti squash are my only other preferences, so the choices are pretty limited.

I love these ideas. I like veggies and fruit, but at the end of the day, I always come up short. Thanks for the tips.
