Just responding to what the original question seems to be as to whether one has tried it.

I haven't. Won't be.

Resolved in 2014 to remain below 120!

Nope don't believe it as there are no "miracles" about weight loss and they said the same thing about ACAI berry.

I got 3 month supply of raspberry ketones as a gift from my friend. I've been using them for little over a month now. Here is what I noticed: they don't affect my weight loss directly, I didn't notice any changes in my energy levels, however they do control my cravings. I have this awful habit of snacking when I'm working on my computer. After a week or so of taking them my cravings decreased a lot. I don't snack as much, so I think they help - if you are a compulsive snacker like me. I don't believe they would work for someone who is already eating right. My boyfriend also tried them and he noticed no change - but he doesn't snack. Since there are so many versions out there and probably they are not all the same - the brand that i have is puritans pride.

I'm sold on this product after my own personal results. I was eating better, going to the gym 3+ times a weeks and was not seeing nor feeling any results. I was discouraged almost to the point of reverting back to my old lifestyle because I felt that it wasn't worth my time, energy, or disappointment.

Then a friend heard about Raspberry Ketones. We did our homework, talked to supplement specialists and purchased the product from an Organic Healthcare store. Within 2 weeks of taking it, I have felt and seen results!

I'm not one to jump on the scale so I can't tell you an average weight loss per week. Not only have I felt/seen a difference this little supplement renewed my outlook and I'm back on track.

Please note, that I'm not trying to promote the product, my only intent here is to share my experience with it.

As with anything... do your own homework and make solid choices all around. Best wishes.

I am just not fully sold on rasp. ketones yet. I think some more studies and testomonials are necessary. I think we may be playing with the typical placebo effect. Maybe that in its own right justifies the sale. I just think it might be a marketing ploy like the other 10000 other magic supplements out there.

Happy, happy, happy

Raspberry ketone not only helps in weight loss, but it has also several other added benefit to the overall health of the person who consumes it. It is very advantageous to use this natural weight loss supplement as it does not have any side effects unlike the synthetic weight loss pills.

They only work in "pure" form, which would take hundreds of pounds of raspberries and cost thousands of dollars per bottle to make. The ones in the stores or on the Internet are synthetic and according to my research are a total waste of money.

I bought some from Swanson to try. I didn’t buy it as a “miracle diet pill”, as I have managed to lose 32 pounds since January 2012 the old fashioned way and with the help of this site to keep track of my food intake. I bought these pills to try to help with the hunger I have now that it’s chilly out. I tend to be an emotional eater, as well as a boredom eater. Also when it gets cold out I just want to EAT non-stop. I got these to help curb my hunger so I do not binge eat and undo all the hard work I’ve done. I figured it was cheap, I’m not blowing $50/bottle to try it. So I’ll try and if it doesn’t work then lesson learned. There were a lot of positive comments regarding it on their website so for $5 why not. They were having a sale so I got my bottles for half price, so got two. That should give me a good 2 months to try it. If it curbs my hunger and keeps me from binge eating then it did it’s job in my book. I didn't buy it based on Dr. Oz..I did a search for appetite suppressant and that was one of the main ones that came up with a high rating from customers. There was also another one on their site that people recommended you take on bad days...I got that one too. Hoping it works…… I just need a little boost, I don’t need a crutch.

I exercised and ate properley the two months that I took them. Lost neither pounds nor inches. My advice is to save your money. You can have little to no success for free.

Or pay for Spark Coach or Weight Watchers.

Made it to my maintenance weight of 125 pounds.

Even though I have reached goal. I still don't know everything about weight loss.

Definitely not a magic pill cuz there is no such thing but they did make me less bloated. I actually did lose 4 waist inches the first week I took them but that was the end of it. I only bought the cheap $4 Rasperi-K from swanson vitamins.

They are only $10 at WalMart for 84 tablets. My sister and I both have been taking them for a two weeks and the extra energy they give us is incredible. I am very sensitive to caffeine and these do not bother me at all. I have insomnia and these do not make it harder for me to sleep. I'm on a low calorie diet and have lost weight due to that, but I do think these help. I use a wheelchair and cannot burn the calories others can, so any help is appreciated.

In my opinion, Dr. Oz is a bit of a nut and he seems to waffle a lot on what he deems to be the latest and greatest fad.

Taking in less calories then your body burns during the day is also a great fat burner.

I've watched Dr. Oz since he began his show..at first he was ok. He recomended moderation, had examples of a healthy diet and junk to stay away from. Dr. Roison from the Cleveland Clinic often assisted in his weight loss segment. Since Oz has taken over Oprah time slot, its seems to be all about pills and supplements to lose Is he getting kickbacks to promote them?!. So of course a person will lose spending big money on all those supplements and not food.

Whenever you feel like giving up..remember why you held on for so long in the first place.

I've been using them for about a week. I don't know if they are helping me lose weight directly, but indirectly I have not binged (or felt the need to) and they do not make me jittery like any of the diet pills I have tried in the past. I am using them as a short term aid to help me break some bad habits :) I do recommend reducing your caffeine intake while using these.

No, I haven't, but I suggest you do your research. I found that there are additives in raspberry ketones that may not be good for you. Since Dr. Oz has been talking about supplements, most of the health food stores and markets have been stocking their shelves and making a lot of money. They regularly check his website to see what he discussed and then place their orders. I wonder if Dr. Oz is endorsing certain supplements and getting paid for them..As I said, DO YOUR OWN RESEARCH!! A lot of stores will check Dr. Oz's website to see what he had on for the week and then order those supplements to sell. They usually sell out!! Also, these stores have sections in the front of the store with a display of Dr. Oz or Dr. Oz Says... Makes you wonder.

Hi. Anything raspberry fmavored sounds good to me, but I don't know about that. Seems like lots of water, exercise, and eating what your body needs works best, but it's hard to do.HmmMmm. Maybe I shoud flavor my water with raspberry.

Unfortunately I did by the raspberry ketones. The only thing they did for me was make me hot and sweaty. They also made me nauseated when I tried to exercise. I was on them for a month with no weight loss at all. I plan on tossing what I have left and going the traditional way of diet and exercise. I need to move more.

I think that if your body is deficient in a vitamin or mineral then it can hinder weight loss. I was deficient in potassium, magnesium, calcium, iron, etc... and was tired and not hungry ( was doing the starve, binge, starve, binge thing), wasn't getting enough calories and had NO energy for anything...then of course my metabolism was slow....also poor diet was causing deficiencies in other nutrients too. So, I take supplements and it has helped me. I know potassium, etc... is not making me lose weight, good food and exercise are but, sometimes pills help get you to a place you feel like exercising. I wouldn't take anything without researching it first and then seeing if you really need it! A simple blood test can tell you what you are deficient in. Maybe the things Dr. Oz is selling did help some people, but that doen't mean it's a miracle drug or that it will help you :)

The reason why Dr. oz shows so many different things to help people along the way is because different things work for different people. Plus the pills aren't for you to use long term but for 6 weeks at the most. They are to aid you, and you are still suppose to exercise and eat right! Nothing can replace that. Plus once you get to your goal weight, there is maintenance you have to stick to in order to stay slim, or else you will gain the weight back!

As a "Dr." I wish Dr. Oz would just tell the truth. The only way to lose weight or keep it off is a healthy diet and exercise. My doctor has told me that year after year at my physical. Whether I chose to listen to him or not was on me. I'm so happy I have a doctor that tells me the TRUTH.

I saw that show. Dr. Oz has become a peddler. I used to be proud of not falling for gimmicks, especially, every new weight loss pill that comes along. But, the guy has power. I looked up raspberry ketone.

GNC carried it but had sold out after this show. When they got some more in, I got the last bottle. Lucky me. I always think the same about these gimmicks. I only took it twice - I should take some more and give it a chance; I've already spent the money.

I just hope it's harmless.

"said it's a natural fat burner that has no side effects....
They said it's not a miracle pill, but if your going to use fat burners use this one , because it's all natural..."

That's an important quote. "If you're going to use fat burners, use this one." He's not saying it will work. He's actually doing what I would do if I had a loved one who was insisting on using a fat burner-- steer them to one that's less harmful. None of them work, but some have huge doses of caffeine, or things like bitter orange that act like an amphetamine or an ephedrine but haven't been banned yet. He should have said, "Don't bother with fat burners; they're ineffective and can be dangerous." But if he doesn't have the intestinal fortitude to completely do the right thing, then "If you're going to take one, take this harmless one" is the next best thing.

Advantages
Animal studies show fat loss after taking the supplement.
Supported by Dr. Oz.

Disadvantages
No clinical studies on humans are available.
One human study showed no significant weight loss (not published.)

Save you money- Dr Oz is paid to okay crap..

The natural fat burner is excercise. Really, look at the technological complexity of the world we live in and now look at the problem with obesity. Don't you think if there were genuinly a fat burning something there would be billions made off it this very second? The false hope industry is already busily making billions off people who are desprate to lose weight easily. Spark People gives away the one thing that works for free, track your calories, excercise and learn to eat healthy.

I took Bob Harper's fat burners and they are all natural. I took them for 2 months and the only thing that got skinny was my wallet.

I always get sucked into these things... I bought a bottle.. today is only the first day so I'll see how it goes. I don't think it will replace diet and exercise at all, I'm not looking for a magic pill. I am willing to do the work. My problem is, I work out and eat well and don't ever really see a difference. I'm just looking for something to give me a push. And from what I hear, that's what this is meant to be. Something just to help you along, while still dieting and exercising.
My diet is not perfect, but I don't eat out, I make everything I can at home, and I work out 2-3 days a week. Hopefully this helps me to see some results. It gets really frustrating to try so hard and see little to know results.

I love Dr. Oz but he sure toots alot of supplements. If you took them all you'd spend all your money and all your day taking pills. Just eat the right foods.

I wonder if you could get the same result eating raspberries?

I don't believe a thing Dr. Oz says. He seems to jump on every bandwagon out there.

Made it to my maintenance weight of 125 pounds.

Even though I have reached goal. I still don't know everything about weight loss.

Best way to lose fat and weight is simply a mathematical equation.

(Your BMR + Calories Burned) - Calories Eaten = Net Loss/Gain in Calories.
If the right side of the equation is a negative number, you will lose weight. The larger the negative number, the faster you will lose.

You need to burn 3,500 more calories than you take in to lose 1lb of fat.

If Dr. Oz recommends something, I generally know that means I need to do more research. He's a sensationalist.

Eat healthy food, exercise, drink water, sleep enough. There's a fat burner for you, and it doesn't cost any more than you spend on food.

I'd also like to mirror GEEKLING's statement: there are a million natural products out there that would kill you in five minutes without making you lose an ounce. I'm not saying raspberry ketone falls into that category, but it's also not a legitimate reason to assume that it's safe and effective.

Just because it's 'all natural' does not mean that it is harmless.

Nicotine is all natural. Cyanide is all natural, Arsenic is all natural. Scopolamine is all natural. Taipoxin is all natural. Even dihydrogen monoxide is completely natural.

There is no "miracle" drug to make you lose weight or burn fat. This is just another gimmick.

My father told me about seeing the Dr. Oz show about it. I'm curious to check it out but leery at the same time. I have been working out twice a week with a trainer and then also working out a 3rd day and have drastically changed my eating habits to healthier eating but I'm still struggling to lose weight. I'm tempted to try this to see if it'll give me a kick start but I also worry that it's just a scam. Just because some guy on TV says it's good doesn't mean you can trust him. He is paid to promote different products I'm sure.

Hopefully someone has tried it and has some actual input/knowledge about it.
