I bought myself a charm bracelet. For every 5 lbs I get a new charm. My first charm is a heart to remind be to love myself no matter what I weigh. The second charm is a key...my key to success. I wear the bracelet to remind me of why I am doing this, and to keep me focused. It also helps me to see the charms dangling when I am reaching for the fridge door or putting food into my mouth. :)

Well, when I meet my WHOLE goal, I plan to buy a plane ticket and visit California for a second time (or go on a road trip again). :) For shorter goals... I'm not so sure.

I am new to this site but I think rewarding ourselves along the way is really fun. I want to lose 30 pounds total. At my halfway point I want to get a mountain bike and at goal I want a shopping spree with no holds barred!

At 25 pounds lost I spent my 25 dollars on new colorful towels and wash cloths for the bathroom. at 50 I spent $50 on beads (my hobby). 75 is around the corner, but hey, I'm getting a Wii, probably more than $75 and will probably take the place of that particular reward. Not sure about goal of 100 pounds, other than the wardrobe of course. For my fastbreak week with the book I made myself a special necklace. When I finish the Declutter Project on the whole house I get a new bed and bed-set.
I probably should do some smaller goal rewards but haven't yet.
I heard one great idea. Someone gave her friends $5 each to spend on a gift, had them wrap it and then when she looses 5 pounds she gets to unwrap one. I may do that myself for the last 30 pounds since they will probably take a while.

Fitting into my old semi skinny - skinny jeans is a GREAT reward for me and thankfully I have a pile of 3 different sizes that I am just getting into the larger of them so that is awesome!
Also my mother and I are going on a girls weekend trip just the two of us to celebrate our weight loss! We are anticipating that we will meet our goals by the end of June so that is a good incentive!

well i just joined here but i can only think of food as a reward maybe cuz im HUNGRY! but im constantly hungry and that bothers me i hate it! I have very low self esteem. but i think if i make it i mihgt start riding horses again it was my favorite thing to do.

I have large rewards set for my weight loss of 25lbs when I reach each set i get 2 outfits or my hair done! For the smaller ones like this week I lost 6.6pounds I went and bought my favorite fruit for Dessert! A Fresh Pineapple! I am trying to teach myself to make good healthy choices!

I haven't done any rewards yet, but when I reach my goal weight I am thinking about taking a trip. I want to go somewhere tropical and for once in my life wear a bathing suit with out feeling ashamed.

I get little rewards every 6 weeks or so for completing my 6 week challange.
A tattoo or some new clothes.
At 75kg i'm off to see the plastic surgeon about getting a breast a reduction which is my reward for getting THAT far (although i have to save for it still)
My reward for reaching my goal weight though. 65kg, is a coctail party 30th birthday and to look more amazing than i ever have in new dress, new shoes etc and showing off a bit.

I'm giving myself rewards for each 5 lbs lost starting with small rewards and as I reach my goal weight they will be larger. Small ones include a lazy day, I-tunes cards, things like that. Larger ones are new clothes for the new body, full body massage, etc...

My goal was to buy myself a bracelet designed by Christie Brinkley on Ross-Simons once I had reached my goal weight. Well, my birthday was on Sunday and I am nowhere near goal weight but could not pass on the bracelet. Don't know how I will reward myself for the intermediate goal losses but once I get to my desired weight, getting into my twenty or so dresses that are now too tight, will be my perfect gift.

This is sort of unusual, but I don't reward myself when I reach a goal (for me, reaching the goal is reward enough!), but when I'm getting off track, I use goodies to essentially bribe myself back on track. So for the last couple of weeks I had gotten off track with my workouts and wasn't getting to the gym as much as I used to, so I told myself that if I made it into the gym every day for 5 days, I would get some new workout clothes. Well, I went to the gym every day and yesterday got my new workout clothes emoticon.

I mostly bribe myself with workout related items, but sometimes it is also new clothes to remind myself that I can fit in a smaller size now and want to keep going in that direction. Basically, I use rewards that I know will motivate me at times when I think I need a bit of motivation, and not at a set weight or measurement or anything like that. I've found it pretty effective. Though I will say, when I finally reach my goal weight, there is a pretty big shopping spree waiting for me emoticon

Right now where I am, it's being able to do things more comfortably then before - like line dancing all night instead of having to do every other song.

But when I hit the mile stones - 30-50 lbs - I'm thinking massages. They're good for you and will help you destress and put things in persective.

eventually - shopping will be a reward in itself

and finaly - a cruise!!! I'm going to want to spend every waking moment in a bikini :-)

I like to reward myself with things that will help me with my healthy lifestyle... like workout pants or an exercise video. I have a list of things I'd like and when the time comes I get to pick one. Though for larger milestones I have planned gifts. When I get to 227, I'm getting hiking shoes!

I don't do the reward thing. I think being slimmer is the only reward I need. I don't like manicures or pedicures. I'm single and don't have kids, so I don't have a profound lack of me time. If I really want a new item, I just buy it. If I had the money to do things like take trips, I'd just take them! (Sadly, I do not.) Basically I can't set up any kind of incentive sysem that would actually motivate me. I just bought some new clothes, but that wasn't really a reward so much as it was a necessity since my clothes stopped fitting.

I see the rewards some people set for themselves and am baffled at how they can pay for it all! I really like the idea someone posted of nail polish though. It's a great item that doesn't cost a lot of money.

I haven't set up a list yet based on milestones but I like that idea and will do that. To date, I rewarded myself with a manicure/pedicure and last week I bought new contacts. I haven't been able to wear them for the last 4 years due to some eye problems, but now I can. I also realized that I hid behind my glasses. It feels so good to be going in a positive direction!

I have only reached one of the goals and I gave myself a charm for my charm bracelet. It was a running shoe to remind me to run for my goals.

The weightloss on it's own is a reward, but when I'm done losing and maintain for a bit of time, to be decided on later, a trip.

my husband came up with a good idea for people who think this way: instead of giving a REWARD for reaching a certain goal, we have written a "contract" to donate to a cause we absolutely do NOT support if we do NOT reach our goals!
but WHEN we DO reach our goals, we are going to reward ourselves with I-phones.
