Yes, definitely. That's why when I started I made sure my weight loss goal date was a farther out than the one the SP calculator gave me.

I try to keep the low end of my calorie range no lower than 1700 - and a little higher is better.

Sound like your on a diet and are acting deprived.. Enjoy the food you make, take time to give it colour and invitation saying eat me..
I don't lower my calories lower than 1500 to loss 176lbs, I prefer to pull my finger out and get in those 12000 steps daily all humans should be doing to be healthy..
I also opted for a more physical job, sitting at a desk is asking for being overweight..

Actually when I started my weight plan and my calories dropped, I felt better and more positive. It may have going from a junk filled diet to healthy food.

When I was losing, especially as I got closer to my goal, I did feel lousy because I was working out more and not getting enough carbs or calories. The program I was on was completely inflexible and narrow minded. Once I decided to quit and start adding food, I lost 10 more pounds and felt a lot better.

Yup. Tracking my food and doing pretty well with staying within the reccommended ratios. It's been a real effort to stay positive though. Maybe I just carry too much stress.

Are you tracking your food? Be sure you eat enough calories and are eating from all of the food groups so that you have the right proportion of fat, carbs, and protein. Be sure and track your food and then look at the report at the end of the day. It is vital that you come as close as possible to the right ratios. When I feel weak and feel like I need a pick me up, I eat peanut butter and apples or a high protein granola bar or string cheese. (Making sure that these things don't put me over my calorie count for the day). Surprisingly I feel better and have more energy than I did before. If this doesn't work for you, consult your doctor. Maybe there's something else going on.

We all get 24 hours a day-how are YOU going to use them?

I will not give myself permission to give up!!

this happens to me if I am not eating the right foods. For example, I really can't eat those 100 cal snack things but for just under 100 calories I can eat an apple or banana and I get a totally different effect.
It really may be something you are eating, try eliminating something for a few days, if there is no change try eliminating something else
good luck

I always experience the same feelings when I diet and I have a lot of experience. Lowering my caloric intake takes away my happy-go-lucky nature. I'm griping at work, angry with my kids. Anybody experiencing the same thing or know a solution?
