Making healthier choices. Saying no to impulsive eating. Saying no to bad choices even when I am really hungry. Getting to the club even when I don't really feel like it. In short - my perseverence.

I am proud that I have lost a total of 46 pounds this year. I have given up potato chips(that was really hard), fried foods, pork, and most processed foods. I have been exercising 3-5 days a week for almost 4 months now. I still have a long way to go, but I finally feel in control of my health.

I’m most proud that I’m doing this journey for ME!
In the past I’ve tried to loose weight for other reasons or people but now I’m doing this for ME and also to better my health. In return it is benefiting my whole family as they are eating healthier now that I’m cooking healthier!!

I have also gotten MUCH better at getting in 8 glasses of water a day since being on SP. I guess tracking it made me aware of how much I was lacking.

I'm most proud of realizing this is a lifetime healthy lifestyle change and not just 'another diet'. Making one change at a time till it becomes a habit and then adding another change and so on. It really feels different this time around because of that.

9 years ago, I was pushing hard at 300 pounds. I am down to 250, and have not gone over 260 for 3 years. I would like to make it to 175, but my pain has limited the amount of exercise I am able to do. I watch what I eat as much as I can, and do as many non-weight bearing exercises as I can tolerate each day, as well as my twice weekly visits to physical therapy. My goal is to lose about 10 to 15 pounds a year, and gradually re-set my body to a new weight. I did go down to 240 once, but I lost too quickly, and bounced back up to 275 in just a couple of months of illness, so I have to go slowly to succeed.

I started my journey once and for all last September when I was put on high blood pressure medicine at 20 years of age. I started with a blood pressure of around 180/100 at any given time of the day... and now it is between 100/60 - 110/75 and I stopped taking the medicine. I'll be damned to ever have to go back on them... NO-SIREEEE!
And I am proud that I haven't allowed people to put me back into my mind frame that I started out in... and am sticking to my guns and don't mind counting calories and reading labels in public because I know it is helping me in more ways than I can count. :-)

This time it feels different, and I can't quite say why. But it does feel different than all the other times.
I'm proud that I've logged all my food, stayed within the calorie range nearly every day for three weeks, put in treadmill time four out of five days so far this week, and made good choices when I've eaten at restaurants.
It's a good start.

Seeing my blood pressure come down to a normal level and being able to climb a flight of stairs without gasping for breath!

I am most proud that I haven't given up. Even when I mess up for months, I come back and keep trying. I am finally off of my blood pressure medication and I am looking better. I feel healthier and am really proud of myself.

I have been loosing weight for over a year have lost 55.2 pounds. My knees no longer ache, my blood pressure has improved and I am also a ovarian cancer survivor and my oncologist said I have reach a new level of good health because of the weight loss I feel I have been given a second chance and my time remaining I want to feel good and take care of myself. I could not have done it with out the help and support and inspiration of many others.

I am most proud of the healthier food and exercise choices I am making. I am also doing an excellent job of tracking all of my food intake.

meeting my weight goal a few years ago, maintaining for a year and fitting into size 6 clothing. Now I have allowed the weight to creep back on me but I know I can lose it.

Unrelated to weight but my doctor told me I had one of the fastest recoveries he has ever seen from knee surgery. He told me to do 100 wall squats a day and I did so I returned to normal activity within 2 weeks instead of 2 months.

Sticking to the plans. I didn't "feel" like going to the gym today. I put that aside, went anyway and now my body is rewarding me with good feelings

I love being fit. I also love being healthy! I think all these fruits and veggies help me ward of illnesses. I don't seem to get half the cold I used to!

I have a gym downstairs in my building, so I go there when it is raining. I walk 4 miles or 6kms every morning and keep up with my eating plan. I reached my goal last May and keeping constant. My health is improved and my clothes get me compliments. Keep up and you will be happy you did it.

Today I'm proud that I inspired someone else. Three years ago, I trained for & completed an Olympic-distance triathlon with Team in Training, raising $4,600 for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society while doing it. And this month, my girlfriend has started training for *her* Team in Training triathlon!

The whole wheat flour makes for a dense muffin, which I like. You only need to eat one! If you want a lighter muffin try using whole wheat pastry flour, which is more finely ground and available in the bulk bins at larger grocery stores.
