Best wishes to you. I kept starting and stopping. This time I have set up monthly goals to help me along the way so its not too much to swallow altogether. I even set up small rewards/ consequences if I meet or don't meet my monthly goals. Some examples are if I meet my goals, I get a foot massage from my husband. If I don't - I have to do extra ironing around the house. Since I don't like to iron, I don't possibly want to do more than I have to. Make it fun, and allow yourself to celebrate the little goals.
I've lost 4.5 pounds in 2 weeks.
Good luck

That is awesome!! That is a motivation for me. I just got below the 200 mark. My next goal is to get to the 180 mark.

You can do it! When I "officially" started Sparkpeople in October I was 227 and my goal was to get to 155. Now I am 165 and have changed my goal to my high school weight of 145. You will feel good physically and emotionally because that is all I talk to people about since my "transformation" with the weight loss. Stick to it!

I started at 213 last summer with an ultimate goal of 150. I've lost 20 lbs so far - I was more focused on school than weight loss during the fall/winter/spring. I'm getting back into it again. We can do it!

Hope you are doing good. I am down to 205. Seems slow at times but it is slow and steady that wins the race :)

You are at the right place Mel. One day at a time! I started at 220 and now 3+ months later at 187. You can learn and set goals and have a whole cheering squad, keeping you going and accountable.
YOU can do it! Welcome to Spark.

You can do it! And rememeber that you are not alone. It is little steps and sparkpeople helps! I have noticed that as I eat healthier I crave healthy food. I am at 210 and have a goal of 150. Haven't been that little since I started having babies :) I am very excited though and feel like this is changing my viewpoint on life and not just a crash diet. Hope that you start feeling the same too!! Good luck!
