The November challenge has begun!

Hi Brides to Be! Happy November! Hope you all had a productive October and are meeting your goals as you plan your big day. emoticon

This month's challenge is all about creating and sticking to healthy habits. This is especially important around the holiday season, as I know for me, most good intentions go right out the window!

So the challenge is to make those intentions a habit this month; it can range from things like making over a recipe, drinking all 8 glasses of water, eating right on the weekend, or hitting those 500 fitness minutes. Stop by the Discussion and Accountability thread and post your specific goals that you'd like to work on.

I also challenge you to check in to the Discussion thread daily and let us know how you're doing. Post those healthy recipes or tricks that are working for you. Together we can reach our goals!!! For those of you who would like to take the challenge of posting to the discussion, please also "Track" your progress from the Team Goals. Just hit "Track Goal" under the Team Goals on the Brides to Be main page.

I will give a special SparkGoodie to the bride that posts the most! emoticon

Good luck to you all this month! Let's avoid the turkey day weight gain!! emoticon

The October Challenge is up!!

Hi Brides to Be! Happy October! I hope you all are enjoying the cool sweater weather wherever you are! I love it! emoticon

Now, let's get down to business. This month's challenge is simple and very much like last month's - let's all aim to lose 4% of our total body weight IN ADDITION to reaching 600 fitness minutes for the month. That's only 21 minutes per day - totally reachable!!!

To figure out what your 4% is, simply take your total body weight and multiply it by .04. So for example:

For a gal that weighs 200 pounds X .04 = 8 pounds. And so on! emoticon

So feel free to drop by the October Weigh In Challenge Discussion Forum and post your stats, fitness minutes, and comment in your weekly weigh in numbers, and let us all know how your doing! Good luck to you all!!

I will be giving a special goodie to the member that reaches the MOST fitness minutes for the month of October. If you are logging them into SparkPeople, you can see how your doing on the "Team Stats" page, which is all the way to the right column on this page.

Get ready for the August challenge - starts Sunday, 8/4/13!

Welcome to the August 2013 Get-Fit Bridal Challenge! This challenge is all about exercise consistency. It is a 7-day workout plan, but the idea is for you to go at your own pace and do what you can. If you are already doing a workout program (like Body Revolution, P90X, or whatever), then keep it up!! You don't have to necessarily do these videos to join the challenge. And though I'm starting on on Sunday, 8/4/13, feel free to "jump in" and create your own start date.

We've already made the commitment to marry our best friends, now let's make the commitment to OURSELVES!!
