Fall Dinner Meet and Greet!It's time to break bread (or salad) together! It's time to welcome new members, reconnect with established members, and introduce our new co-leader POOKASLUAGH. It's time for some of you to meet MJ-SHE-BEAST and TAMARA6905 in person for the first time. It's just time to get away from the screen and press flesh and get to know each other a little better. Spark meet ups are always fun, welcoming, and happy events.We will be meeting Saturday, September 29th at 5:30 pm for dinner at Ruby Tuesday on IH10W and Wurzbach. It sets right between Mama Margie's Mexican Restaurant and the Drury Inn Suites. If you go to www.rubytuesday.com and click on So Connected, you will receive awesome deals and coupons to help offset the cost of dinner. Ruby Tuesday offers a lot of healthier options as well as a great salad bar. Almost all meals can be adapted to your needs and preferences. Another great thing about dining there is they won't add in an automatic gratuity for a large group...though I do hope everyone will be generous as they can to the awesome servers who will take on our group! Family members are welcome, but do bear in mind that the restaurant will need a pretty close count in order to accommodate us all. Please be sure to RSVP no later than Thursday the 27th by 5:00 pm so I can call in our final count. It is VERY important for you to RSVP if you wish to attend. Your leaders are so excited about this. We hope you are as well. We so look forward to meeting some of you and seeing some familiar faces as well. Welcoming a New LeaderShe has lost nearly 90 pounds, 60 of them in the 18 months she has been a Spark member.She has battled plateaus like a Super Hero. She plays Body Detective, isolating what does and doesn't work, always sharing her findings and information generously. She has made healthy living a true habit and her personal lifestyle in a big way. She is an active Spark participant and puts herself and her journey out there as an example. She motivates, inspires, encourages, and supports. Sounds like good qualities and accomplishments for a Spark Leader to have, doesn't it? Our Next Meet Up is Scheduled!We will be meeting at McAllister Park at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday the 21st at the Al Becken Pavilion for a 2.3 or there abouts walk (longer if you want to keep going, shorter if you don't!) and then we will meet at the Taco Cabana on Thousand Oaks just off of Jones Maltsberger (for those who want to continue the party) to sit around and socialize and eat if you wish.
