It's Not Too Late to Help Out!!! Read this before Sunday!!

Our team has a challenge going that started way back at the beginning of the season. We are collectivly adding our fitness miles travelled and moving from one stadium to another. We are currently 37.3 miles away from Tropicana Field, home of the upstart Rays. Whether you'd like to be there to root for them or against 'em, wouldn't you like to be there for the playoffs? We need to be there by the end of the regular season, Sunday, October 3. Won't you help us get there? Just strap on your sneakers and go for a run or walk, hop on a bike or elliptical, keep track of those miles and log them on the challenge thread!! For your information, we have travelled almost 2400 miles this season..GO TEAM!! Add your miles to the thread "August Challenge - Keep on Movin!!"

August Challenge --- Keep on Movin'!!!

Hoping to Spark a little more activity, we have moved the April Challenge to August. We are still trying to add all of our miles together to see how many MLB stadiums we can reach by the end of the year.

It's never to late to join in. If you haven't posted yet, WELCOME!! Join right in at any time.

Keep track of all your miles: walk, bike, swim, steps counted, any equivalent of mileage will work! Post your miles and then add yours to the team total and we can cheer each other on as we wander to the next MLB Stadium.

Check this Out!!

Hey Nationers..

In the Challenges Forum, there is a thread called How Many Miles from Fenway to Safeco?? Our wonderfully hard-working Gretchen has done all the work of tracing a mileage route for visiting every major league ballpark, plus a couple of minor league parks. Since visiting every major league park is on my bucket list, and the ONLY park I've ever visited is Fenway so far, I'd better get going, and the only way I might ever really do it is virtually!! So will you help me? I've posted some thoughts and ideas in that thread: Gretchen has to throw us a party when we get there, since she lives there, and maybe setting a time frame goal for getting there. Check it out and put in your 2 cents..this could be a great motivator, folks, what do you think????

Please Join Me...

...in welcoming our new co-leader, Golfchick2-0. She is one of our newer members, but has hopped right in and created a couple of challenges, and has succeeded in bringing some new engery to our journey to health!

I am looking forward to some more of her fun challenges, and to her help in putting a "spark" into my and our program!!
