2) Come back here to our team and post in a more intimate forum! Let us know how you're doing, if you win and whatever else is happening during January!
3) Do your best to Spark your Body by following the SYBB Plan listed on the team page!

Save a dollar a day and put it aside to buy yourself something nice only with the money that was saved this month ($31.00).
It's my birthday this month and since I can't celebrate in person with you, please buy yourself a great gift for me!!! :o) And yes, nice things can be purchased for $31.00!!! Let us know at the end of the month how you celebrated my birthday with your SP savings :oD
The last goal is 4 you. Chose something that is healthy, fit & freeing for you. Do one thing once a week or 4 different things over the month. Let us know so that we can support you in your efforts!!!

"Here In A Year: Spring Forward Challenge" April 1, 2009 - April 1, 2010It's Spring 2009, the season of renewal, new life and a refreshing astmophere!
So I have a question for you. Where do you see yourself in a year? Do you want to have a better relationship with someone? Do you want to be healthier? Lose a certain amount of pounds! Gain a bit of muscle! Spend some time alone! Spend more time with God! Exercise more! Own a home! Declutter your home! Finish school! Fit into a size Whatever!
Whatever it is, I want to challenge you that in a year's time, with faith and consistant work you will be there (or further along)!
So let's start the "Here In A Year: Spring Forward Challenge"
Starting with the April 1st 2009 and ending April 1st 2010.
Yes, the end of this challenge is a ways away, but it gives us time, to take our time to enjoy the journey. This way we won't put sooooo much pressure on ourselves & take will take it one day at a time!
Feel free to come here to write down what you're working on. Tell us where you want to be in a year. When next year comes you'll be able to come back here to see how far you've come!

Join the SparkPeople movement by attending on Saturday, May 2, 2009. Bring all the fun, fitness and motivational aspects of the site to life as you spend the day listening to inspiring stories, learning from our experts, working out with our coaches, and meeting up with your SparkFriends!
Saturday Morning Pre-Convention Activities
7 a.m. – 7:30 a.m. Optional Morning Workouts.
Convention attendees can choose to participate in one of two optional morning workouts before the Convention begins at 9 a.m.
7 a.m. – 7:30 a.m. SparkPeople Fun Run
Put on your running shoes to work out before the convention begins on Saturday! This optional morning run is open to runners of all speeds and fitness levels. Coach Nancy, along with member volunteers, will lead the group through a 3-mile route that will take approximately 30 minutes. Location TBD.
7 a.m. – 7:30 a.m. SparkPeople Morning Walk!
Wake up and get walking! Resident Expert Tim Metzner, along with member volunteers, will lead walkers of all speeds and fitness levels from the San Diego Convention Center thrrough a park setting for approximately 30 minutes. Meet up with other members and start your day off right with this optional workout. Location TBD.

Now they're ready to share their stories and motivational techniques--including the most valuable lessons they learned along the way--and to answer your questions!
11:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. Lunch (not provided) and Optional Activities
Take some time to enjoy a delicious, healthful lunch, meet up with other members, or enjoy a quick workout. Choose to participate in one or several of these fun SparkPeople scheduled activities:
11:30 a.m. & 12:00 p.m. Walk and Talk
(2 different sessions to choose from)
Meet up with your new SparkFriends for a lunchtime Walk and Talk session! Led by SparkPeople coaches and member volunteers, this walk through downtown San Diego (weather permitting) will take approximately 20 minutes. Exercise at your own pace and meet other members. Be sure to wear appropriate attire and footwear if you plan to walk with us!
12:00 p.m. & 12:30 p.m. Cardio-Strength Interval Workout with Coach Nicole )
(2 different sessions to choose from)
Elevate your heart rate and work your muscles with this 20-minute exercise routine led by Coach Nicole. No equipment necessary! All levels welcome! Workout will take place outdoors on San Diego Convention Center property (weather permitting). Be sure to wear proper workout attire and footwear if you plan to exercise.
12p.m., 12:30 p.m. & 1 p.m. SparkPeople Expert Panel Discussion
(3 different sessions scheduled at noon)
Join us during or after your lunch for a panel discussion! During this informal Q&A session, attendees will have a chance to ask questions directly to our resident experts Dietitian Becky, Resident Expert Nancy and Dave (head of SparkPeople web development). Hang out, listen in, and get information!
