Home Again!
GANDALFGREY1
(with his wife, MOB8/2009)

SparkPeople member GANDALFGREY1 recently had a heart attack, and his wife, MOB8/2009, blogged on her SparkPage to keep their friends on SparkPeople updated on his health. He's home and doing well, and is again blogging on his SparkPage. Read his most recent blog entry:

There can never be words to express the gratitude I have felt over the last week in SparkMembers and others in the community who supported me and more importantly Linda through my heart attack and struggle to stay in the land of the living yet a while longer. I have had friends to say things like, but I don't get it, you are in great shape, you eat right, etc.. but I can hear the words of my surgeon who helped save me from death several times - if my heart had NOT been in pretty good shape, along with the diet and exercise regimen MOB had inflicted on me, I would NOT be here. Any way. Now to try and maintain and eventually get back to a more fully diet and exercise program.. Never thought I'd look forward to the day when I can feel that burn in the gym once again.... Thanks again... you Goonies are the Best!

Chef Meg's Zucchini Muffins

These muffins are very filling!

The whole wheat flour makes for a dense muffin, which I like. You only need to eat one! If you want a lighter muffin try using whole wheat pastry flour, which is more finely ground and available in the bulk bins at larger grocery stores.
