Angels' Cafe

Resource Details Below

This is a GREAT restaurant on 9 Mile in Ferndale. They serve both poultry and vegan dishes. And flavor is exquisite. Following is a short exert from there website:

***********
It's an art gallery, it's a restaurant. When Keith Pierce originally leased the building on Nine Mile, he used it as a studio. In a former life, it was an office and garage. Pierce, who lived in Europe for five years and studied cooking in Italy and France, says he always knew he would open a restaurant. The office space became a gallery, and when he began to renovate the garage, Angel’s Café emerged.

Comments From Other Members:

I love this place! TEASSO is right, it is a long wait. Everything is made fresh to order so I don't mind. This is the only restaurant I've ever been to where the owner of the place greeted us, sat us, took our order, cooked for us then chat us up. All the chicken dishes can be made with tofu so it's veg friendly. Lucky me I live right behind Angels Cafe!

The wait is long, but the food is delicious! If you're in a rush, call ahead to place your order :-)

These muffins are very filling!

The whole wheat flour makes for a dense muffin, which I like. You only need to eat one! If you want a lighter muffin try using whole wheat pastry flour, which is more finely ground and available in the bulk bins at larger grocery stores.
