My husband is 6' - 2" tall. He weighs about 155.
I am 4' - 10" short. I weigh just under 200.
He sits in the evening, and within and hour after eating a big meal, he's eating half a bag of oreo cookies and a glass of milk. Next I hear ... Read more
Blessed to receive two photos today.
Some of you may know that I make and donate small soft dolls. Many have gone to the poor, homeless and orphans around the world. Many have gone to children with cancer.
The cancer dolls are bald. The girl dolls have a wig, a hat, a sca... Read more
Sugar free, fat-free, 0 calorie caramels! (Some of you already know what's coming)!
Yep, it's candy, but it's candy I handcrafted for dolls, especially the 18" dolls, although my granddaughter and I have tea parties also with Blueberry Bear and Ruby Jeannine (a Cabbage Patch doll).
This is part of my Easter items for mid-M... Read more
My 3 grandchildren had a sleepover with us last night while parents went to an out-of-town party. My Hannah is 9. She talked about her dolls, her friends, her figure skating lessons.
The boys? They are 3 and (almost) 5. They talked about b... Read more

A couple of hum drum craft days...gotta have the good, band ugly sometimes!
I'm still making things for the craft show in March; but some things have to be done in increments (mostly for paint drying or polymer clay cooking or epoxy resin to cure).
At this moment I'm bored with all the time-consuming little things.... Read more
I received a cash reward today!
My 9 year old granddaughter told me in this afternoon's visit that she is proud of me for working on my "new illness" (diabetes), and she made me some HGL (her initials) money. She says she knows it's not REAL money, but it's good to purchase h... Read more

Setting goals for small incremental rewards?
Anybody doing this? The last time I lost an appreciable amount of weight, I had a plastic container with photos all around it of cute bathing suits. I refused to even get one or to go out in public unless I was completely covered (it's a mirac... Read more
Taking my blog from yesterday with a grain of salt!
I just need to let people who responded on my blog yesterday know just how much I appreciate their feedback, their advice, their encouragement. (AND for letting me know I'm not alone in my addiction to salt)!
I'm going shopping on the inte... Read more
High Blood Pressure, trying to kick salt addiction.
I've been "addicted" to salt since as far back as my memory goes. I love it. I put it on meat, vegetables and watermelon. I prefer (salted) pretzels, chips and peanuts to a candy bar any day.
So I've been trying to do better since Spark... Read more
Careful what you say...even compliments can be hurtful.
I don't think most people are insensitive or rude, but often we make mistakes with how we word things. Or with even speaking at all. I think of a couple of hurtful situations, and thought this might be worth sharing.
I am obese, but the ... Read more

My grandsons, ages 4 and 2, were not having it when told to get ready for bed. They were NOT tired! They whined through their baths. When my son picked up the bathroom, he saw the boys were not in their room. They were not downstairs.
