A gift of a day.

Gotta get up when you fall down!
Yesterday, I had plans to take yoga from one of my favorite instructors. I got up early, did some chores around the house, got a sugar-free chai- yum), and went to get my hair cut (also a favorite activity).
As I was leaving my hairdresser... Read more

Turning a corner
Little by little I'm changing. Not in ways that most people would notice, but in ways that I notice. I'm running once a week, increasing my distance bit by bit. I'm keeping up with spin at least once/week. Going to the gym 1-2 times/week.

Sabotage! How to reverse this feeling?
Why does it happen? Days and days of being focused on fitness (ran another mile on the treadmill and have been doing some heavy garden work), drinking my water, writing my food down, feeling in control...then SABOTAGE! I hate it. I was feelin... Read more
I know it's only Wednesday, but....
I feel so much more in control from just having logged all that I've had to eat the last three days. Amazing! I know it works. I just don't know why I resist it so...probably because I find it hard to be consistent.

lack of sleep
Prior to starting back with Spark People and putting me first, I had weeks and weeks of lousy sleep. I'd wake up at 2am or 3am at least 3 times/week. Since committing to and completing some sort of exercise etch day, I've not had one night of ... Read more
