1st goal down, a look back, and a look forward
Today was the day I had set for my first goal. I set myself 63kg, a loss of 4kg in 3 months.
I achieved my goal. Yay me!! Scraped in, at 62.9kg but that's still an achievement. So, I thought I'd use this opportunity to acknowldge all my... Read more
My first gain of the year - What I learnt about myself. (5 Lessons for getting through a busy week).
Last week I had my very first gain since "doing this for real". I gained 800g. Gutted, but not altogether surprising. Here's what I learnt about myself so I can avoid doing it again.
It was an incredibly busy week at work last week, some... Read more
It's the way I'm supposed to live my life
My weight loss seems to be speeding up a little, even though I'm not always getting to all my classes, and my diet certainly isn't perfect. I'm very okay with that. It makes things liveable and this new lifestyle very acheiveable.

Yesterday I injured myself.
There I was in the last round of the last peak track of my Body Attack class, "tuck jumps everyone!" shouts Jess. Keep pushing, I think. Go, go, go, not long to go now. Big jump, legs tuck under me, back to th... Read more
The last time I see 65kg
Yesterday I weighed in at 65.1kg. A small drop from last week, but a drop none-the-less. And especially needs to be congratulated given I took a short holiday to NSW for a wedding during the last week. We all know how unhealthy weddings can b... Read more
I really hate weekends!!
Well not really, but they reek havoc with all the good work I do during the week.
I can't plan what I'm eating because I'm generally off somewhere, or don't have particularly structured days. I don't have access to as good food because I'm... Read more
I know this program can work, because it's worked for me before. But this time I need to do it slowly, sustainably, and keep the weight off.
Week 1 was good, I took off half a kilo. I haven't had an official week 2 weigh in, but so far, i... Read more
No blog since Friday? Ooops. Can feel losing motivation a little bit. Need to get back to a good spot here. Time, as always, is an issue.
Lost about 300g. It's better than going up I suppose but I think that has impacted on my motiva... Read more
You know, I'm a bit pleased with myself for still being committed to this. Sure, I know it hasn't even been 2 weeks yet but this is certainly the longest I've been blogging, if not the longest that I've logged on and tracked my nutrition and fi... Read more
Got a new place to live today!! Nothing obvious to do with fitness I know, but it is exciting and motivates me and I think of how much easier it will be to be fit when I can cook my own meals and have y own space and time to exercise. Hurrah!

Time is still an issue.
Didn't go "off track" so much as didn't eat the right things today. But it could have been a lot worse, especially given everything going on in my life at the moment.
Desperately need a decent sleep. Need to... Read more

Good news: scales were out by about 2kg. So really I'm at 61.5kg. Which is better.
Not much to say today. Haven't drunk enough water - didn't give myself the opportunity. Naughty me.
Also no exercise! Very naughty me! Might try a... Read more
Was right up there in diong everything right today. Even almost hit my fibre target. Not at all like me.
And no chocolates, although I was super craving them.
Moved on to the next stage so this week is all about portion control. I'v... Read more
Messed up today by having lunch out. Tried to pick something with whole meal bread to up the carb and fibre dose but due to the cheese, it didn't balance out. Plus I let myself have 3 lindor chocolates. Very naughty. There's that self contro... Read more
