Progressing Slowly but Surely
The heat of summer has let up, and I am accustomed to rising earlier for work. So starting Sunday this week, I got on my bike. Twenty minutes on Sunday; 20 on Monday...twenty-five on Tuesday and Wednesday. Took a break on Thursday, then did 25 o... Read more
Back to School
It's the first day, and as a TA, there's not much to do just yet. This afternoon we will get our room assignments, but for now, I don't know with which teacher I shall be. Beside me in the library is a new TA who hails from Cuba, who knows at le... Read more
I've Been Busy
I haven't been Sparking as much lately due to the bed-bug issue. My DD and I have been uber-occupied prepping for the exterminator, due to come on the 28th in the morning, for an estimated 6 hours. Anyway, just today I finished prepping MY room.... Read more

Making a Liar Out of the Physical Therapist

Since I had the hip replaced and now the knee, friends and coworkers and I have joked about me becoming the Bionic Woman. Then I saw this cartoon and just had to share it.
The real bruising didn't start showing up until Saturday. The PT said it indicated that I was actually doing well, putting my knee through its paces. I figured I'd get a couple pix of the leg at this stage, just for the record.
