Can you help me take the lead out of my butt?
Today is turning out to be an achy kind of day. The swine flu shot seems to be making me feel like I've got the leftovers of a flu, and last night, I was warm, like I had a low-grade fever. I felt ok, and still do, I just don't have bursts of ... Read more
"Oinkment" & other stuff
My Guy & I finally got our H1N1 flu shot. It went well, as I expected, and I expect both our left arms to be achy tomorrow. That's a small price to pay to be protected against a new flu.
I forgot to mention the weekend!!

Apparently I'm not the only one
Yesterday, My Guy's doctor called him at home. We had a day planned with a few activities, but after the phone call, My Guy was a basket case within an hour, and plans got tossed out the window.
His Dr. informed him that his blood work cam... Read more
At least I now know why this past week has been rather tough to stay on track... I "started" a whole week early. If I had had any suspicion that I was PMS'ing this week, I would have taken some meds to ease the symptoms & mood swings, but appar... Read more
Compared to yesterday....
.... I'm doing so much better. :-D
It's snowing today, but that doesn't seem to have an effect on my mood at all, I feel like I levelled out. Yesterday ended ok, but the desire to eat my face right off was overwhelming. I had my evening ... Read more
Did you hear that?
Did you hear that big thud over the weekend? That was me, falling off the bandwagon.
I'm not sure why I'm having such a hard time getting back on track, but I suspect that other issues I have going on are all symptoms of the same problem. ... Read more

I figured I would post a blog! :-D
Yesterday, my uninjured hip was in terrible pain until late in the evening. I was very concerned, because it was affecting my ability to walk at all. Anti-inflammatories didn't make a dent, Tylenol bare... Read more
What a difference a thin layer makes!
Yesterday wasn't quite as cold as today, and I had worn my thermal long johns to work. Today, for some brain-frozen reason, I chose not to wear them. I stepped outside for my morning break, which is also when I walk around the building during ... Read more
Just when I thought I wouldn't get any exercise today...
I've mentioned before that the only other woman in my office and I usually go for a lunchtime walk at the ice rink. Today, neither of us has our vehicles, and it's a little distance away, so we weren't able to go. I was a little disappointed a... Read more
Here's hoping for a slow work week
When I get overly busy at work, and especially if I'm not in my office, my diet suffers... I don't have my regular schedule, I feel weird borrowing another office's fridge & microwave, and going for a walk at lunchtime is nearly impossible. Las... Read more
One less stressful thing to handle
Well, it's been a long few weeks migrating Hummingbird to the new version, but it's done. All done. Including those users who didn't have it working yesterday. No, I didn't come up with the solution, one of the other techs did, and I just sen... Read more
Well, that was an interesting holiday :-D
Life is back to normal, such as normal is. My holidays were good.... great friends, time off, visiting the family in Moncton, and some cheer. I don't think I did too bad for the cheer, but it was definitely more than I normally consume. Lucky... Read more
Things are better today
Wednesday night's server upgrade went better than expected. We were expecting problems, but the software behaved just like it was supposed to. I was floored. Thrilled, and floored. The next day we had our staff party/annual meeting, and the ... Read more
I'm chewing my nails and pulling out hair
In a few words, I'm stressing out.
I'm still horribly busy at work, we're doing a server upgrade of a program tonight, and if it doesn't work for some reason, the backup plan isn't very good.
And I'm managing the project.
I've had... Read more

In the next 2 weeks, my workload at the office increases to an insane amount, since I have a deadline for a project for the end of the month. (I'm in IT with a government agency.) The developers (programmers) are almost on time, it depends how... Read more
