Resting in God's Hands
I will shortly take my dau to the dr to get the results of the blood work - has she miscarried again? The test will tell. I continue to rest in God's hands and leave it to Him. It's not a once-and-done thing exactly.....doubts and questions a... Read more
Sorrow and Confidence
I got out of the shower in time to hear the phone this morning. When I answered, it was my youngest, crying so hard I could hardly understand her. I told her to get to the hospital (her DH was at work) and we'd meet her there.

Friday, and looking forward to a healthy weekend!
I have re-doubled my efforts at exercise this past week. And I thank God for helping me to carry out my determination. Sometimes I have to stop and remind myself that I don't have the handicaps so many do, and that I shouldn't complain.

Praise the Lord!
In His graciousness, He didn't send us the predicted snowfall. We got a SLIGHT covering of wet snow last eve, but nothing like the 1-8" predicted. I am SO thankful today! The sun is shining brightly, and I've done some exercises (now for the ... Read more
I refuse to think (much) about the snow
It is supposed to start around the evening rush hour (why not!) and by tomorrow, we're to have upwards of 6 inches of new snow.
Trying to find something good to say about it, I told my DH this a.m. that it will be nice to have a white cov... Read more
Maybe if I just ignore weather predictions.....
Maybe if I just ignore weather predictions they won't come true. Now we're going told that being 'touched' by the snow storm on Monday (into Tues) will net us about 3 more inches of the evil white stuff. I'm still waiting for the sun to melt w... Read more
My dau told me last night that her (3 yr old) son is over the flu. PRAISE THE LORD! Apparently Tamaflu has something to do w/it, too; but the praise belongs to the Lord, because if He didn't will it, it wouldn't have happened, or so quickly.

Wed afternoon about 2 pm
This snowstorm is probably worse than the one we got over the weekend. My DH went out this morning and made a few swipes with the snow thrower, only to find our drive covered in another 2 or 3 inches by the time he'd swiped at the neighbor's dr... Read more
We're bracing for a 2nd snowstorm. They're predicting 10 or more inches on top of the 20 or so we got over the weekend. My DH and I are rescheduling the medical appts we had for tomorrow because the storm is to start this afternoon and run thr... Read more
Sun (Son) shiny Monday
I praise the Lord for his great goodness to us. We got about 20-22 inches of snow by the time it stopped Saturday, and the Govenor declared a state of emergency, getting the Nat'l Guard out to help. That was lifted by nightfall.
We didn't... Read more
Yes, we got tons of snow, and it's still coming down. I really don't know the number of inches, because the wind has blown it into HUGE drifts. I'm so glad I don't have to go anywhere.

The anticipated storm started 'on time' - flurries about 2:30 p.m. today. Before I head to bed, I looked outside and there appears to be about 4" on the sidewalk, with the flakes getting bigger and more intense. We're supposed to expect 1 - 2... Read more
Back to 'routine'
This morning my DH & I will help out in our grandson's kindergarten class - always a pleasant, FUN time for us. We're only there about an hour - for a specific task of the children - but we look forward to it once or twice a week. They are s... Read more
Yes 60+ yr olds can get new teeth - and I'm not talking about dentures (although that may be in my future).
Last May my dentist told me that my body was reabsorbing a tooth. I had no pain, no discomfort; and no, 'they' don't know why bod... Read more
