Healthy Habit - Week 3 - Flossing!
I'm still doing well on taking my meds & vitamins.
I have done much better this week with my water - I'm up to 7 glasses a day.
Tomorrow I face the dentist after a few months without flossing. I'm not looking forward to it! I've tota... Read more

Baby Steps toward Rebuilding Habits
It's good to be back. It's been a long time since I have kept up on any healthy habits - probably 8 or 9 months. It's amazing how long it takes to develop a new habit, and how quickly you can lose it. Skip a couple of days, and pretty soon yo... Read more
I'm back after my longest absence ever - 162 days. What happened? I was working hard this spring, getting the house in shape for a big family reunion. Then I got sick for awhile - headaches, funky stomach, balance issues. Then a month of hav... Read more
In a Rut
September was crazy. Two long road trips, followed by our church missions conference. I'm the missions secretary, so I'm heavily involved in the conference. I love it, but it always leaves me physically and emotionally exhausted. Part of the... Read more

Confessions of a Plateaued Sparker
It's been over a month since my last blog. I guess I've been a bit discouraged because I have really plateaued on my weight. And it's not one of those plateaus where you have been doing everything right and the weight still won't come off - no... Read more
Trick or Treat Trot
Well, I only signed up for the 1 mile beginner walk because there's no way I can do a 5K yet - but I will be able to eventually! I knew I could do a 20 minute mile, so I was hoping to beat that. I finished in 18:35, and I am very happy with my... Read more
We had a wonderful trip to celebrate our 40th anniversary. We visited my old college roommate who introduced us 42 years ago! It was fun to reminisce and catch up on the past 40 years.

The Journey Continues
This really is a journey; the road is not always smooth, and the progress is not always steady. There are bumps and twists and turns, but as long as I'm making overall progress toward my goal, I shouldn't get discouraged.
I have days when I... Read more
