Excited for the New Year!
Oh my goodness! I have not written a post for an entire year. Guess that sums up my commitment to myself during 2014. Sigh.
But things are different now.
I am really in the mood to sit down to map out my year. I tend to get too busy ... Read more
Just Be Kind
It isn't January 1, but it is the first day that I can get back into a routine after my kids have gone back to their own lives after the holidays.

Timing is Everything
I have been remiss is keeping up with my Sparkfriends, and for that I am so sorry. Life has been a snowball this past year, and as a result I not only let my online friendships slide, but my body has revolted.

Wildfires in Idaho. Sigh.
For more than a week now we have been on the edge of our seats in the Wood River Valley of Idaho. Lightning sparked three huge wildfires across the southern mountains of our state. The Beaver Creek Fire, which started out innocently enough sever... Read more
Back on the wagon - what a ride!
I am back on the wagon, and it feels SO good! For months now I have been haphazardly treating my body with disrespect. I have been eating what I want, snacking, and maybe worse of all, not exercising. I've been doing everything wrong, and doi... Read more

Spring is in the Air
Birds of all sorts have been flocking to our feeders. They love cracked sunflower seeds and thistle. A little expensive to keep this habit up, but we are getting great enjoyment out of it. Oh - the Orioles seem to be crowding out the hummingbird... Read more

When Quilting One Can't Eat

Hungry For Change
I think I've been hungry for change for ever so long. But just haven't been able to put my finger on the how of it, let alone the why of it.
And then this morning, something really great happened.
I woke at 3, couldn't get back to slee... Read more
Love the scale; hate the virus
Okay - think back to the 60's. It was either Franki Valli or The Four Seasons or ??? I just wish what I'm writing about today was a fraction as good as what they sang about in What A Night.
Yesterday was a great day for exercise! We were up at our cabin and my husband, daughter and I decided to snowshoe back into Redfish Lake. We didn't have to break snow (thank goodness) and were able to walk on a path beaten down by snowmobilers... Read more
