104 days later
I gave up tracking a month ago. My weight was not moving, despite having been tracking and keeping under my calorie range, so I decided to start a new way to keep in line.
I've been using the "listen to your body" method. Since I'm past the... Read more
What have you tried new lately?
The first time around, I tried a lot of new things. I learned I like a lot more things than I thought I did. I also learned I really didn't like stuff I thought I didn't like to begin with, but at least I tried.
This time around I haven't b... Read more
While nearing my first mini goal
I decided to add some more mini goals so I don't have to wait so long in-between goals at the high end. They are all weight related goals, because that's the easiest way for me to see my progress in the numbers.
My added mini goals:
Mi... Read more
80 days in, 12.8 pounds gone, 4.8 pounds per month
Some days it seems that the weight is just not falling off fast enough. Then I went and looked at the actual numbers.
I've been at this for 80 days this time around (second time around!). The weight is being lost about as well as I did the... Read more
Failure is always an option
I've been saying that if you've never failed at anything, you've never tried.
You learn a lot more from your failures than your successes. Someone who always succeeds at everything doesn't learn as much as someone who failed a thousand time... Read more
Tired and sick
I've been feeling tired and then got sick on top of it for half a week now.
When that happens, I don't want to cook. I can barely stand up long enough to go do the shopping that is needed, and my husband made me stay home last n... Read more
I had a tootsie roll
And that's all I wanted out of the kids' haul. None of the other ones looked tempting. I've had good chocolate, and none of the things you can get in America out of standard Halloween candy bags are all that tasty.
I used to take advantage ... Read more
Broke that plateau well!
I had gained a half a pound a month ago and it held on fast. I'm not sure if it's the salt or that I was eating an average of closer to 1,700 calories.
I've managed to get back to under 1,500 calories per day, and haven't been salty for day... Read more
Guilt ate me up
I won't mention what happened, because that's between me and the people involved. I'll just say it nearly cost me my marriage.
Long after everyone else forgave what happened, I didn't. Guilt just ate away inside of me. I had no issues keepi... Read more
And after complaining
Seems to happen that way. The weight held on strong for three weeks. This morning, I finally hit that 10 pound mark!
I'm hoping that means it will keep on going again and I hit my first mini goal of 15 pounds within the month of November.

Ravenously hungry and no weight loss for ages
It's been about three weeks since I've lost anything. In fact, it went back up a half a pound.
The last couple of weeks I've been having a hard time eating under 1,500 calories. I've been hungry as all get out, eating, on average, 1,700 cal... Read more
62 days later and thoughts on buffets
I missed 60 days later because I was on a vacation so here's the 60 days blog.
I'm down nearly 10 pounds and it will probably go down this week since I was super salty yesterday. It can be frustrating that I'm just not losing the weight as ... Read more
I'll have to do the 60 days later blog after I get home because I'll be gone for the weekend.
I'm visiting a friend for a few days and that requires thinking about food for on the go. Fortunately, when I get there, I won't have to worry abo... Read more
Nearing the 10 pound mark and some rewards
Despite eating out on Thursday and having ice cream for dinner, I lost another most of a pound this week.
I'm 54 days in (so a 60 day blog will be here soon!) and am actually starting to feel a little skinnier. At my starting weight, it tak... Read more

That's the point where I realized today that I had walked enough.
I wasn't aching like I was a few weeks ago up until that point. I hit 5,000 and my body said, yep, you're going to start hurting.
I also noticed my hips weren't hurting ... Read more
