Missed a few days
but I'm back again. Even with extra work days, I have been managing to get my exercise in. Love that trainer when it is icy outside. My new pedometer is so much better than the old one. I am managing to get over my 10,000 steps every day.

Well, the roads were clear so I could get to work today. If I had to go much further north I wouldn't have made it. We did get a few snow flurries while I was there, but nothing that stuck. It was a very busy day so I didn't run up and down t... Read more
Back to work tomorrow
The big storm seems to have gone around us. There was snow everywhere but here. We got lots of sleet and freezing rain. Saw just a few small flakes today, but no accumulation. Most roads are open again, so looks like I will be back to work t... Read more
The ice man cometh
We went to church this morning, took the grands out to lunch, sent DD on her way back to school early and made it home before the sleet started. DD had to drive through some sleet on her way, but her roommates helped her carry everything in the... Read more
Getting ready for the ice
They are still predicting ice and snow tomorrow night (and it was 60 today!). We are in the .25 -.5 inches of ice and dusting of snow. I don't work till Wed, but power tends to go out when we get any ice. I made chicken casserole, chili, and ... Read more
Well, didn't get as much exercise today. Was working on the sewing room when DD came home from college and we had to cancel the cable and internet, pay utilities, get some more boxes and did some more packing in her apartment. Then we went out... Read more
Another successful day

Work days are hard
Today was a work day for me. I drive 45 minutes, work 12 hours, then drive home and am on call all night. Most days there is little time for exercise on work days, so I take the stairs instead of using the elevator. There are 115 steps top to... Read more
Little things add up
I had a bunch of little things I needed to do today and didn't have a block of time to exercise. So I took the dog on a slightly longer walk, got on the trainer while talking on the phone, did my challenge video while dinner was cooking. All... Read more
Sore is good
I did my 3rd challenge video today and I am starting to get sore. That is a good thing, it means I am working muscles again. Tomorrow if the weather holds I hope to get another short bike ride in before DH has to go to work.

Off to a good start!
So far I am doing well. I joined the 28 day Bootcamp and survived the first 2 videos. Today was lovely (even if breezy and cool) so after church DH and I got in a short mountain bike ride. And I have stayed on the low end of my calories. To... Read more
Ready for tomorrow.
I have my official starting over weight. I didn't gain as much as I had feared, but I did gain 15 pounds. My new starting weight is 170 and I want to get to 145 this year. I also want to improve my strength, and finish the quilt for my bed. ... Read more
Just a warning
New Years is coming and I am seriously starting over. Starting when MIL got sick in June (doesn't seem that long ago) I have been very bad. I have intended to get back on the wagon, but found one excuse after another and haven't. So, New Year... Read more
