Work days are hard
Today was a work day for me. I drive 45 minutes, work 12 hours, then drive home and am on call all night. Most days there is little time for exercise on work days, so I take the stairs instead of using the elevator. There are 115 steps top to... Read more
Little things add up
I had a bunch of little things I needed to do today and didn't have a block of time to exercise. So I took the dog on a slightly longer walk, got on the trainer while talking on the phone, did my challenge video while dinner was cooking. All... Read more
Sore is good
I did my 3rd challenge video today and I am starting to get sore. That is a good thing, it means I am working muscles again. Tomorrow if the weather holds I hope to get another short bike ride in before DH has to go to work.

Off to a good start!
So far I am doing well. I joined the 28 day Bootcamp and survived the first 2 videos. Today was lovely (even if breezy and cool) so after church DH and I got in a short mountain bike ride. And I have stayed on the low end of my calories. To... Read more

The Gingerbread Houses
Had to work today, but we close early on Sat, so I got off at 5. Went by and picked up the grands to spend the night (hope I don't get called back). After we ate dinner, it was time to do the annual gingerbread houses. I decided to let them ... Read more
Today was a day of laundry as DD#2 continues to move in things from her apartment. Not sure where she had all this stuff stashed in her little place, but guess we will make room for it. She brought her little pink (yes, pink) tree and we set i... Read more
Ok, so I had to work today (7-7) and DH had to work today (2-MN), DD1 has kids to get in bed and DD2 has to work 5-10). That makes it hard to get some one on one family time in. But it was a slow night at work and I did get to spend time getti... Read more

Family Lunch Monday
Once again the family got together for lunch. We went to one of MIL's favorite restaurants. We hadn't been back there since she passed away in July and it felt strange being there without her. But instead of ordering the usual pizzas, we had ... Read more

Today DH and I had to finish up our CE for the year. We had an hour drive there and back, plus the 5 hours in class. Not exactly the perfect family time, but gave us time to have nice chats on a variety of subjects. Tomorrow he starts his 7 d... Read more
Dec 4: Family time
One of my December Resolutions is to spend one hour with family members every day. No TV, no cell phones, no video games. Just spending time doing things together.
