Bounce back day!
First of all, I want to thank everyone for your support. It meant so much to me today to see all the supportive comments!
Today has gone much better. I've had over an hour of fitness today, and my calories are in range. I'm feeling pre... Read more
Why can random comments hurt so much?
There are lots of street peddlars in Chicago. Most of the time I walk right past them and ignore them. Today however, there was a peddlar, that as I walked past, said, nice and loud to me, "Those are some serious stretch marks!" Now, I don't ... Read more
I'm not sure what to do as my goals.
I want to get back to my running. To get to that end -
I will increase my steps each day until I am walking 10,000 per day. I am starting at 2,000 today.
I will work on adding more frie... Read more
To push, or not?
I feel like I'm at a crossroads with my exercise. I'm still struggling with my energy levels. But I can't tell if it's the lack of energy from not moving enough, or lack of energy from still recovering. So I'm doing some yoga, some walking, a... Read more
First ab workout since the pregnancy & rebuilding ground
So I did probably about 15 minutes of yoga today, after my 15 minutes of walking. A good chunk of what I did was ab work - cobra pose, plank, stuff like that. I have to admit, I'm trying not to be disappointed in myself. Its been 9 months sin... Read more
Well, Today was a day of not-good food choices. My inlaws watched Nathan and hubby and I had date day. We went to a movie (nachos and a half a huge soda, eep!) and then dinner - deep dish pizza and spinach and artichoke dip. My calorie count... Read more
Epilepsy, lack of sleep, and an awesome hubby
I have been a little absent from here for the last couple of days. I had a Very rough day before yesterday, and spent most of yesterday taking it easy and recovering. I'm epileptic, and the day before yesterday I had 3 seizures over the course... Read more
Is a little dissapointed
Well, it's the 21st. and I think I have to be realistic in that I'm probably NOT going to hit my 1,000 fitness minutes this month. I promised myself I would manage it, but with the baby, and the c-section, and just how tired I've been, it's no... Read more
The rambling no-name blog :)
Today's blog is probably going to be quite random, so please don't be surprised if it it! We decided today would be our first family outing. I was hoping to be out the door by 12. Yea, 3pm rolls around and we JUST got out the door! This is a... Read more
First good yoga session
So today I did my first really good yoga session since before a good chunk of the pregnancy. It felt SO good. I did a good 15 or 20 minute yoga routine. My back feels nice and stretched out, I've got lots of catching up if I'm going to manag... Read more
So I had my first postpartum checkup today. They weighed me. When I was still pregnant, I was 220. Today I weighed in at 198. ONE HUNDRED NINETY EIGHT! How is that!? I can't believe I hit under 200!
I am thrilled! and a little scared.... Read more
Had a nice day
I had my mom and grandma visiting today. I did pretty well with what I had to eat today; I had a healthy homemade breakfast that hubby made this morning; I had 4 small slices of frozen pizza for lunch, and more of hubby's awesome homemade potat... Read more
Footing a little more stable
So I'm feeling a little better today. Not so angry, and my eating is far better on course. My treat for the day were 3 of the little bitty crunch eggs that clock in at 35 calories a piece. MUCH more reasonable; and it still lets me have a littl... Read more
Where is my footing?
I'm still dealing with diabetes. Whether it's leftover gestational diabetes or actual diabetes 2, I'm not sure. Right now I'm feeling rebellious.
I'm angry. I worked so hard to try and get myself healthy before this baby was born. I ... Read more
Getting acclimated to being mommy
So we have been home about 3 days now, and Nathan's doing well. :) We're still getting used to our sleep (or lack there of) schedule, but we've got it down to where daddy gets up for one feeding, I get up for the other. Luckily night time te... Read more
